A fantastic vocalist who was a huge influence on Alice Cooper, and many heavy-metal vocalists notably Ian Gillian of Deep Purple. Arthur was a great performer as well. The debut album is a stone-cold psychedelic classic. Tom Jones invited some quality performers to his shows

I got introduced to this amazing song in 1995 by the way of a 45rpm single that ended up in my LP collection. I have no idea where I got it, but I saw the name of the group and a date of 1967 and thought it was going to be a typical late 60's pop song. Wrong. This song was proto metal, and that huge voice with the equally huge range absolutely knocked me out. I've been a fan ever since.

Tom Jones and Arthur Browns voices are very similar. I was in the kitchen one time and the credits for "Mars Attacks" was on the TV in the living room with Tom Jones singing "Its Not Unusual". I started thinking, what the hell is Arthur Brown doing singing that song lol. Then I started comparing them. I have played professionally for over 50 years and I don't think I am imagining it.
