Young Dutch forming the gang, ending with him taking a more camp leader role where he stays in camp, and the transition to playing as Arthur who is becoming (or has become) the gangs number 1 enforcer. Or play as a new character who becomes a member early on, who loses his life during some kind of robbery and then a hot swap to Arthur escaping with everyone for the 'epilogue'.

Much like you'd say, it's movie magic. It's game magic. It wouldn't be unthinkable for one man to take on man, especially in a gun fight. An experienced killer/ gun slinger could definitely take out a bunch of nobody's with guns. Just because someone has a gun doesn't mean they know how to use it. It would be like the average Joe taking on a champion boxer. Anyone who's involved in combat sports knows what I mean by "easy work."

I can’t help but imagine that anybody who knows who Arthur is, shudders at the thought he might be in a gun fight. Even if they don’t know his full kill count, he’s no doubt had at least hundreds of deaths officially attributed to him specifically in newspapers, and would likely be mentioned in every major operation the Vanderlinde Gang gets into, all of which result in people dying. They likely get worried when they hear of any one of the gang making an appearance due to reputation. But their faces must pale when they hear Arthur “Morgue” Morgan could be around.

Let’s get to the numbers. *The numbers* 1,460 kills were acquired by Arthur Morgan. 16 of them were animals of indeterminate gender while the rest were human males resulting in a mostly blueberry pie. As playtime varies between players, we have no kill on total I’ll give the golden chainsaw for coolest kill to Alberto Fussar. Since he got blown up by a friggin cannon! Noise arthur! Noise! Dull machete goes to the guy who harassed Swanson, since I’m not even sure he died.

I was Micah in gta 5 but was not in Rdr2 but I did kill a few innocent npcs and a dog in the red dead redemption game I was not in my prime in it so little dogs killed me easily so I killed a guard dog out of self defense in the game which I would have felt bad if it was real life. I was trying to get to a mission and accidentally made the npcs mad so they tried to kill me including their dog for approaching private property by accident so I also killed the owners. Then I had to go back to respawn a mission and they came back like nothing happened.

Arthur is such an interesting character to me, he’s this 6ft, burly, rugged, outlaw who is dangerous with his guns and yet, he is introspective in his journal and can draw well, in my opinion, Arthur is a good man deep down but I think he just tried to put up a front in the early part of the game, he didn’t even want to do Strauss’ dirty work, but the more good he does, even an outsider like Sister Calderon sees him as a good man despite living a bad life, “we all live bad lives Mr. Morgan… we all sin, but I know you”

Considering the story of Arthur is that he had been with Dutch's gang for 20 years prior to the game taking place, I'd say that Arthur's likely got at least double that number under his belt in total. Seems like the killing only accelerated as the story went on, so the earlier days most likely were a lot less hectic as the gang took smaller jobs in less populated places. After all, it was only just recent that the law started pushing to civilize the west, so towns and lawmen were likely a lot more sparse.

I went for the money in that game over going with John cause I like money and I even got it once I completed the epilogue missions and John got to keep it and I also did that cause I prefer a warriors death over letting tuberculosis take Arther’s life so in a way I took one thing down with me the disease. I wish I could take out Micah too but he had plot armor which was the only reason the gang didn’t kill him.

Arthur is an antihero no matter how you play. I’m not sure you know what antihero means. Antihero means central character that lacks conventional characteristics of a hero. Even with a good soul, and trying to save most people, to get through the game with the least amount of death you’d still have to shoot upwards of 400/500 people. ( and that’s being generous, and would be tedious to find out as most missions would have to be played over and over again while hoping that any gang member you’re riding with doesn’t get killed due to the players pacifist gameplay) Which would still make him one of the most prolific armed combatants in history

@@Burkius true, but say you play him with the most killing as possible he would no longer be a antihero, he would be a villain not a antihero. Antihero suggests that he is a killer but overall good. An antihero breaks the laws of a conventional hero by killing or being violent. The difference between say spiderman (a hero) and Deadpool (an antihero). An antihero kills those considered to be villains but doesn't kill innocent people. If you kill innocent people in mass, you would no longer be a hero or antihero but a villain. Therefore if you play Arthur as a cold blooded killer he would no longer be a antihero, he would be a villain. Even his actions at the end wouldn't give him true redemption even if the games system claims it did. Say you kill civilians in mass the whole game. Even if the game forces the redemption story, including these mass killings would make Arthur a villain not an antihero.
