A really glorious composition by Arthur Milner which is, as you remark, Paul, wonderfully introspective . . . but also tinged with optimism in between explorations of somewhat unsettled tranquility! The opening and closing shepherd's piping are gorgeously realised on the Hereford sample set and you tonally colour the music with your accustomed flair! A stunning performance: B R A V O !

Interesting piece, Paul. I sense maybe a wistfulness or sadness for lost horizons, and maybe lost tradition, perhaps, but still some hopeful looking forward in its single-note conclusion. By using the Hereford sample, it becomes comes something clearly English, and wonderfully performed. Thank you!
