Fautanu was the PFF Player of the Game. No pressures in 29 pass-blocking snaps, and beaten only once in 26 run-blocking snaps. No penalties. Fautanu said in an interview that he is more comfortable at RT. It shows. Broderick's footwork looks awkward and slow at RT. Broderick is a natural LT.

I just hate how we move Fautanu, and we move Jones, but for whatever reason Dan Moore just can't play right tackle. I don't get how the 4th rounder gets babied and the 2 first rounders are made to move.

Now, I completely agree with you, but as for why the 4th rounder is “babied” is because the 1st rounders have far more talent and can play out of position. The 4th rounder has a very niche spot where his talent shows, and you can’t move him out of that bc he doesn’t have the talent to be somewhere else

It’s just because the 4th rounder was already there and coach T isn’t gonna bench a vet over a young player just because. Plus Dan Moore has played good enough not to lose his spot. Whether we agree or not the team thinks Dan Moore is a better LT than the two 1st rounders at least right now.

Let’s be more accurate when we talk about it-instead of “Moore had outplayed Jones”… “Moore has been better at LT than Jones at RT”. Rather than good enough, they need to be aiming higher… I get your point, and it’s not without some validity-I just think they need to have higher aspirations at LT and Jones (IF HEALTHY) should be the easy choice.

At the very least, we should be disappointed in Broderick because coming into his 2nd year with a full offseason and weight training regiment he should’ve came in more in shape , stronger, and more aggressive! It’s obvious that didn’t happen

Because of conditioning and the lack of in Game play and playing at mile high, I think playing Broderick in rotation was appropriate.

The planned rotation against Denver was just bc it was Troy's first game back from injury, and they were in heat and altitude. Tomlin didn't wanna leave him dead tired, he worried about his conditioning. Moving forward now that he played basically that whole Denver game, I think you leave him out there the whole game. Let Broderick sit until he's good enough to get on this line, if ever

Only justification for putting him at RT was to help Troy and compete against him. Now that Troy is our RT, Jones should only be competing against Moore for our LT spot. End of story. He can be our emergency RT if Troy gets hurt.

NO, the Steelers are not mishandling the Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu situation. The proof is in the video. Broderick is guilty. On the series where Broderick gets three holding penalties he is absolutely deserving of them. The video shows that it’s patently obvious that Broderick’s technique, attention span and situational awareness are unacceptable, to say the least. He looked lost and confused and that leads me to think he’s unsure of what he’s doing and who he’s supposed to block. OLC, Pat Meyer and his assistant had better spend overtime trying get Broderick coached up.
