I am a jaguars fan and i saw the team got ripped apart last season, plying cover 2 all the time. Cover 2 is like the most easy coverage beat if you are able to tell that a defense is playing cover 2.

@@SunniMerlotthats not true. Theyve always ran some form of 2 high frequently. This discussion is honestly lunacy. Nearly no team runs a true cover 2. They’re equating a 2 high look with cover 2. I point that out to say 1 high is still king. The problem is qbs are bad. Years of undeveloped qbs leads to this. The avdot has plummeted. This leads to defenses forcing qbs to actually read the defense. Which most cant do. Theyre only given 1/2 reads. This is a problem from semi pro to the NFL. Defenses arent doing anything different. They’re adjusting to what theyre seeing.

I remember when the Utah Jazz used to leave 7’2 280lb Greg Ostertag in the paint with arms and legs spread out turning the entire paint into a black hole. Now that’s illegal and the sole reason is to see more scoring.
