I just bought the full set of lenses, 35, 50, and 85. I found a really major problem that no one is talking about in the reviews. Each lens has strong color variations. The 35mm even seems to have a warm coating, it makes everything look like Mexico in Breaking Bad. Not having color consistency in a set of lenses is serious. I would go for the classic Roklinon cine DSX lenses.

I personally thought the shot of Jenessa walking through the sunlight with the crazy rainbow flares looked amazing. Feel these lenses could be well suited for music videos.

Really interesting, thanks. Just a question: "Do you tried to mix them with the vision series? To see if the rings are at the same place or if they are consistent for the colors?" I ask that because the vision series miss a 85mm or the spectrum one miss a 24mm or a 12mm... Regards.

Hello Arthur, thanks for the video. I own an A7 iii and am looking for my first (budget) cine lens. I was considering one of these 7Artisans lenses but the focus breathing seems to be a problem. As an alternative I am considering the Viltrox 23 T1.5 but it is APS-C (as per other reviews it doesn't have the focus breathing issues). Would it make sense to go for the latter one? (price is similar). Thank you very much

Arthur shot in the dark here but I have a Sony a6300 and a Sony FS7 and I know you have done a few videos on Rokinon lenses. I am looking purchasing a used Rokinon 50mm T1.5 AS UMC Cine DS Lens for Sony a6300 and one for the FS7 can you share some light whether it is worth it to put one on both the a6300 and the FS7?

If they make those lenses any butter then it wouldn’t be a budget lens anymore it would be far more expensive so we have to take the good and most of the bad with them.

I wish someone could explain what those 5 screw holes are for on the 50mm lens. I read somewhere that it’s for lens stabilization, but I’m not sure what kind of stabilizer those would work with?

There’s no comparison. I sold my A6600 before I got the FX30. The new sensor, the color profiles, the stabilization, it’s all better.

very good image quality, but missing lens stabilisation is pretty obvious. Im not using unstabilized lenses for anything video related, at least IBIS when using a 50 or 100mm 2.8 macro has to be, and typically im very happy with the Canon EF-S 17-55 2.8, great autofocus and stabilizer even works with the R7s IBIS I dont get looking for affordable lenses while you have like 5k spent on a video rig at least for example. I rather go the way of good and stabilized glass and an affordable body, like this the value doesnt drop too hard as well since good lenses keep their value or get even more expensive.

I am going to be extremely nitpicky here and it's with good intention but perhaps instead of showing a bunch of random shots done throughout a day in a vlog style video, you should consider doing a short film as these are cine lenses and I'd image they would be best orientated for that style of shooting! I highly appreciate all that you have done but for future reference!
