I'm using an iPhone 14 Pro and I do care about deep integration for easier access. I'm sick and tired of companies limiting the most useful features to the latest features just to milk more money out of consumers, so I'm going to collaborate with a team of people who have the same vision to develop a way to run an open-source LITTLEM directly on an iPhone with 6GB of RAM and an A16 Bionic to bypass all this corporate marketing bullsnot! It'll be tested for accessibility for use with VoiceOver and other features, by both blind and sighted team members. We're going to take the Apple Intelligence battle straight to Tim Crook's front door!

i upgraded to the 16 pro max purely for the battery life. I do not care about anything else. the battery on this thing is amazing. easily beats my 13 pro max which was already good.

Thank you so much, Arthur! This was really helpful and useful. With these nifty workarounds, I can stick with my one-year-old iPhone 15. To hell with the 16. I'm not a heavy AI user, but for the occasional dip into AI, your tips do the job well enough. I absolutely do not care about deep integration. On balance, Apple Intelligence is a very underwhelming development for the iPhone. It's hilarious that Apple marketing made such a big deal out of it.

My understanding is: Apple intelligence reads, understands and sends away what's in my Signal conversation to be processed in the cloud bypassing Signal's end-to-end encription :) can't even turn Apple intelligence crap off.. so i'll pass.

The RAM is the limiting feature why we can’t get sophisticated models because the a 18 pro is more than powerful enough but Apple has decided to limit the RAM to just 8 GB for Apple Intelligence and we won’t really get to see it full potential until Apple up the RAM to at least 12 GB or 16 GB.

I think it’s only worthy buying the iPhone 16 for people who are having issues with their current one and need to upgrade anyway. If they have enough money to afford a 16, but if their current one is on iOS 18 and working fine then there’s no need to upgrade

I have 16pm and im in europe, i might never get the AI and i dont even care. Im not sure if i even want it given recent rumours on privacy and AI. I like the phone as it is and the only thing i used AI on samsung was just circle to search. I also use google photos as my cloud photos service cause i hop from android to ios to android again very often and i just use google lens instead of circle to search so i dont even care about circle to search missing atm. Google photos+ chargpt app and widgets is all i need anyway. anyway its kinda strange that Samsung and Google can deliver within same EU regulations while Apple excuse their lack of said features with EU regulations… while they are just not ready and probably in alpha / beta stage. Reviewers are right, talking so much about AI, half campaign was about Ai and even “ build from ground up for AI” and then sell this in Europe without any AI and unknown date or even confirmation if EU will ever get it 😂

@@martingifford5415 Yes, Google Assistant did the same thing. It will continue to do that stuff but that's pretty straightforward and simple. Gemini is capable of carrying on interactive conversations. Google Assistant is not.
