Article Furniture Review: Article Sven Sofa Couch (After 1 Year of Use)

how is your sofa holding up? very interested in finding out how well it does after a few years or wear and tear.

"Don't pay for the assembly". Yeah but if you live in an apartment that isn't the ground floor, THEY WILL NOT DELIVER TO YOUR DOOR so you have to have someone with you to lug it up the stairs, AND if you open it and need to return it due to a tear or stain or missing leg or whatever, YOU have to pay to return the sofa at like $100-200. So the extra payment for delivery is worth it, as the guys will come up, unbox, assemble, you can inspect it and say no, return it if there's an issue.

Best review of this sofa so far! Thanks for being to the point but also showing the sofa in so many lights and angles - and a year later, as most reviews seem to be within just a few weeks of purchase and I worried about durability. The time lapse drying was very helpful. I like that this shorter length one can still be rearranged in small rooms easily, and yet long enough to crash on is key.

The tan and blue our two top choices. Our living room has mixed natural lighting and artificial depending on time of day. We went with the tan to be safe.

Hi, thank you for your review. I bought mine, the same sofa, two years ago. It looks beautiful the leather feels great. However, it is not comfortable! The foam used in the seating is thin, I am only 5'10, 152lb and after a year of using it every day, I started feeling the wood underneath. Nonetheless, the back pillows needed more feathers, which I had to open and added. The worst thing is that I also bought the daybed from them. The daybed is comfortable, but it is one person’s bed. I bought thinking that I would have a double bed as a spare in my office. I tried unsuccessfully to post a negative review under the article website. I am glad you posted the video. Big regret!

Hi there. Thanks for watching. I can honestly say my couch is one of the comfiest I've sat on, I have no affiliation with Article and I speak from my own experience. Perhaps they changed manufacturer or something happened with your particular unit, I don't know really, but the couches from them are pretty well reviewed around the board so I'm not sure what to tell yah, but that's unfortunate!

I was wondering why I don’t see any negative reviews on Article! I want to see videos about how these hold up over time, but they are not there......which makes me think people are not pleased. The back cushions look problematic on most Instagram pictures......I’d be constantly smoothing them....to my eye they look smashed down and messy! So hard to shop online for furniture. 😞

Great review! I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the shorter, 2.5 seater like you did for my small apartment (and to potentially simplify getting it up the stairs and through the front door) but am nervous about sacrificing sleepability. Looking at 7:12, that looks pretty comfy - how tall are you? I'm 5'11" which is 71 inches compared to the 72 they list this as, edge-to-edge which doesn't account for the arm and cushion widths. I'm roughly 5'10" - I would likely opt for the larger version if you plan to sleep on it a lot, or even better buy a pull out couch!

Lovely makeover!! 💕 I bought a couch, a loveseat and an ottoman from Article Aug 29th and have yet to receive my items. 🤷‍♀️ My family has been sitting on the floor for two months now, which I find unacceptable especially during a pandemic. The coffee table is from Wayfair called "Lift Top Coffee Table by Madison Home" but it doesn't seem to be on Wayfair anymore, try a google search for it.

Just bought this sofa and it's really not as comfortable as I expected. The matching chairs are incredibly comfortable. Maybe it's because of the single long cushion not allowing you to sink in as deep as the chair.

I think comparing it to be the same as a wicker patio seat is quite the exaggeration, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My personal experience is of quite the opposite findings. Anyhow, maybe try reaching our to Article if your dissatisfied.

I've been looking at Article sofas after seeing so many KZbinr with Article sofas. I was stuck between Simplis and Sven-I think I'll be getting the Sven birch ivory. @@emdoubleu1763 the wait was long but we were in Covid so totally understandable. The blue couch is beautiful I’m very pleased with the quality and the comfort of it. It was my first furniture internet purchase so I was a little nervous. I went specifically with Article because I have a narrow door going into my basement so that limited my options for furniture. It worked out. I would purchase other pieces from this company.
