Girls love articulate guys. Was on a date with a girl. Discussion went to body positivity and the question whether or not it has gone too far. I had just talked about that with my parents a couple hours earlier, so all my thoughts on the matter were fresh. I practically gave a speech as my argument and even though she disagreed, her eyes lit up and her jaw dropped. That was a fun debate!

I feel like atomic wording creates jargon and unnecessary words which takes away from what someone is saying. It feels like work meetings that could have been a small email. But there is a point to use this when portraying your feelings and emotions.

It would be advisable to use this selectively. Perhaps when you’re involved in a dynamic, fast-paced or high-stakes situation and you need accuracy of speech and speed, the key would to communicate quickly. This video seems more focused on helping people to become more thoughtful and descriptive. I work in an Emergency Room as a charge nurse. I probably won’t be using these things we learned in the video during a code blue situation (cardiac arrest). But maybe I’ll use this sort of technique when I’m at dinner in a high end restaurant this weekend and my friends ask me about my world travels. Application to appropriate situations should be considered.
@jahimuddin2306
@jahimuddin2306 7 ай бұрын
I believe it depends on the situation. As the commenter before me mentioned, they would not use this kind of speech in a high stress situation or environment. If you are just conversing with someone in a relaxed, low stress environment then it is the time to use it.

"I get the sense that atomic wording gives birth to jargon and words that have long past their prime and retires meaning from people's articulation. What a unique and informative video. I’m thinking back at my day at work today where I had co-workers blabbering on about inconsequential nonsense, and maybe it is that I didn’t want to engage with them, but I would simply reply ‘yeah!’ or ‘absolutely!’. My point in sharing that is that I feel like it is challenging to speak in this manner in public and with other people solely due to the constraints others put on you through their inexperience with it. Others jump-in at a moment’s notice, cut you off before you are finished speaking. Similar to that ‘pack of puppies’ metaphor you hinted at, it can be so tough to get a word in sometimes, let alone an entire sentence or two.

Hi, I just found your channel. I'm a non-native speaker, although English is my second language. Recently, I realized that my vocabulary and speech are poor, even though I am C2 IELTS certified. In my opinion, while I do have sufficient knowledge of the language in both writing and speaking, I tend to default to the easiest option. Your video provided great insights into why this happens, and I hope your material can help me raise my language proficiency to a higher standard. Thank you for your time.

I had just finished a chapter of a new book and was thinking how enjoyable reading was again and your video popped up. I loved it and have just viewed your first from 9 months ago and liked that equally. I’m going to follow your work and now I’m going to view your Stephen Fry recommendation. Great stuff and delighted to have come across you x

God knows how this video popped up on my feed but have to say you're an interesting, very gripping storyteller. Initially thoughts were just another grammar nerd but lo and behold, you're much more than that. God bless you. Much love. ❤✨🐣
