I love silbo gomero, learnt how to do the whistle a few months ago.

As an avid polylinguist, I plan on adding this to my skillset in the next month.

Speak of manifesting. Yesterday I was thinking I want to learn how to do this. Thanks Patchy!!

FYI MANIFESTING MAN I FEST I FEST MAN I FEST GOD I ENVOKE GOD ANGEL AN G EL MAN GOD ELEVATED How does God elevate man? God (All True Knowledge) gives a man some of his TRUTH. This Enlightens the man, and the man becomes a Light Bearer (Lucifer) of God. God came from GOD to replace the fallen angels who left their positions in heaven. MANKIND MAN KIND KIND OF MAN KIND OF GOD See PSALMS 82 See JOHN 10 where Jesus quotes from PSALMS 82 "If Good says you are gods, the ones to whom the TRUTH has been given..." Jesus came to make humans into gods, not to keep people out of HELL. People could already stay out of HELL. Abraham did not go to HELL. Moses did not go to HELL. The prophets of God did not go to HELL. Jesus came to save humans from being human as humans will not survive the last judgment of Fire from GOD. Just like the faithful Angels remain, the faithful gods will remain. This means the faithful Angels and the faithful gods are the same species. "In the next life we shall be like the Angels.", Jesus.

Thank you, great explanation. Could you do the tutorial on the fingerless whistle? Particularly, I am able to get a decent tone but volume is still fairly quiet.

I've known how to the the handless version for a long while but I just cannot nail it with fingers at all.

Lots of flying spit and sometimes sound like a goat spitting. Not giving up and will swallow before trying to whistle and will blow softer until I learn.

I've managed to whistle a few times this way, but it sounds exactly the same as my normal whistle 😂

Quick question. Do you fold your tongue at all when whistling?
@patchy6425 ай бұрын
@@KingLouie91 It's hard to say. Fully folded, I don't think so, but with a ridge followed by a rise towards the tip.

Hey Patchy, is it fine if it doesn't sound very strong at first? I'm actually Gomero myself but I have not grown up here therefore I do not speak it, however I'm learning it to impress my friends from here in about one month hahaha Is there any tips you'd give on how to "chiflar" instead of getting that average/low whistle unsuitable for long distances?
@nestor19074 ай бұрын
I'm learning it the standardized way, one knuckle in mouth

Is it easy to transition to a fingerless whistle so I can adapt to another whistling community?
@patchy642 Жыл бұрын
I don't quite understand, as you give no context. Transition from which whistle? Adapt to another from which community? Either way, the answer is that learning to whistle from scratch is relatively easy, compared to say learning sign language from scratch, much less challenge and effort to invest. So I can't imagine the point of "adapting" as opposed to simply learning. But please feel free to enlighten me.

@@patchy642 There's a region next to my native one who speak the same language (Shilha Berber) but since theyre higher in altitude they whistle their language (I found some videos of conversations and I think I'm starting to be able to understand), the community mostly uses fingerless whistling and I was wondering if managing to articulate it fingerless after learning the Silbo Gomero technique with the index finger will be easier than trying to learn fingerless whistling from scratch and articulating that

@@spongeboblover7052 Oh WOW! That's AMAZING! It's actually so amazing that I don't believe it, really. Could you maybe video them yourself? If it's true and you could record it, it would be super interesting for the world to see. Me, for my fingerless whistling, I simply started learning the technique again from scratch, and after a week or so of trying and rehearsing as I learned, I can finally now whistle with or without fingers.

@@patchy642 heres a video of someone first saying come "ddu-d", then he says bring the sheep here "itti-d ulli nna", and finally he says the name of his friend abdessamad, so the articulation follows the spoken language kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHayopdum9adh8k maybe if im motivated enough ill go visit there and record more extensive sentences

@@spongeboblover7052 Go NOW! Go today, or tomorrow, please. And film EVERYTHING! It's probable that soon there'll be no whistlers left there. That's what happened in France and so many other places. Film it, and that exposure will help keep it alive, just as it has here in the Isle of Hierro.

Have you ever got 3 people together and whistle at the same time the same tune makes it ripping sound
@originami919911 ай бұрын
you may be referring to interference beats, which happen when multiple frequencies that are slightly out of tune with each other are played at the same time, for example if one person is whistling at 440hz and one at 441hz, you will hear one wobble per second because of the sound waves interfering :)
