That hasn't been completely true for awhile. Yes, he still does the show most of the time from one of his two home studios, but he does come in for big guests like Springsteen, Biden, and now Harris. Covid hit his family really hard (his dad acquired dementia symptoms after it and didn't even recognize him on his death bed when he died a few months later) and he is 70 so it makes sense that he's still being a little careful here and there. Btw, as a long time listener it was always a matter of time before he locked himself from the world and the fact that he's coming out of it is better than I thought it'd be.
