Artifact of the Week 20240419 - Wood Badge Axe & Log

Many if not most Scouters know the origin story of the Wood Badge beads, the MacLaren tartan, and the woggle but very few know the origin of the Axe and Log. It might surprise you to learn it predates Woodbadge and even appeared in a BSA publication before the first Wood Badge course in September 1919.
