16:33 One bit of value I can think of that people could get from Artifacts with "CriD as HP is bad" is anyone who's Lushen just barely misses one shotting waves in dungeons like GB10 for example. They could use those so their CriD goes up with each cards hit from Amputation Magic. I haven't tested it yet myself but it seems like a solid idea to me

Skill 2 accuracy is pretty important for units that have passive "skill 3"'s like the fire beast rider, for example. I can load her up on accuracy runes and subs, or attack/crit subs, or I can mitigate some of that with skill 2 accuracy artifacts. I'm also partial to units where the 'strip' skill is skill 2.

Some additional notes, mostly relevant to rta... 1. Single target crit damage + s# crit dmg + crit dmg if good/bad are amazing for bruisers in combination with a slot 4 crit rate rune. Using one rune slot and your artifacts, you completely cover your offense, so the rest of your rune slots can cover your survivability. Crit dmg is technically more effective stat-wise on slot 4, but unless you are cleaving or it's a unit like Diana/Antares/Leo that doesn't need speed, you typically can't get 85% crit rate and still be tanky enough. Crit rate and resistance as a main property are more effective than primary stats, especially if you take into account that they can't be grinded. 2. Damage reduction from water is typically more important than from any other element. The reason is, obviously, Mo Long. If you have a unit that your comp is centered around, like your LD5 or Diana, or a powerful sustain/support unit that enables your team like Riley/Nana/Triana, the opponent might try to snipe it with Mo Long, and Mo Long doesn't care about element advantage. Obviously, things like Antares, Karnal and Verd want reduction from water as well, but for a different reason (Barbara, Mina). The second best is reduction from fire (vs Masha, Khali, Kaki, Antares and Daphnis), but that's typically only for wind and fire units. Then there are wind (Odin, monkey) and light (Shren, Oberon), and I am not aware of any good dark nuker, so that might only be useful in gw where you use a light unit like Molly to bait their dark unit, but even then non-LD elements are probably better. The point is, when deciding if you want to roll/keep an artifact, keep in mind that reduction from water is good on everything, while reduction from other elements is more narrow. Reduction doesn't work vs bombs and dots afaik, so Seara/Gianna/blueshen/Rica should not be under consideration. 3. Artis with high rolls in skill# accuracy are, obviously, great on mons that only have a single skill that needs accuracy because they allow you to get more stats in your runes. However, artis that roll accuracy on multiple skills have their use. They are for units that have debuffs, but don't have multi-hits. The best example is Hathor. She awakens into accuracy, so it's pretty easy to get her to 85% on s2 and s3 using only sub-properties and artifacts. This allows you to use hp% on runes 4 and 6, which saves her from being sniped befoe getting to do her thing (especially in combination with damage reduction on the other slot). Rica is another example, she does have multi-hits on s3, but the dots do so much damage that artifact damage doesn't matter as much and it's better to use resistance on s6 instead of accuracy. Rica doesn't even need 85% accuracy on s3 because you are typically not taking her into stuff like Lulu that you expect to be on max res. On the other hand, something like Chung and even hey gang want damage in artifacts to remain threats even after blowing their load, so they are better on accuracy slot 6 and dmg from speed in artis. 4. High damage from hp is only really good on Karnal. Most high hp units that want artifact damage (Vigor, Juno, Praha, MoLong, Rigel...) shine in games that go long, meaning that the artifact damage from hp will lose effectiveness. Damage from spd and def, or even att will be better in the long run. This is only true for rta, obviously, in gw hp doesn't fall off, so stack >20% dmg from hp on MoLong and he will go ham with s2. Obvuiously, it all depends on the particular artifact as well. If you triple high roll dmg from hp, it's still going to be better than an average double roll in dmg from spd, even in rta. Also, remember that ponies lose their hp when they transform, so Diana wants high dmg from att!

I know a lot of people have been spreading around information. I think the thing that I got from this the most is that - dmg from specific elements is probably better overall that def and spd as hp gets lower. Also probably havent been focussing the dmg on specific elements (Kaki and Fuuki are big ones for RTA). Brings into perspective at least some of the more popular ones, as I have 400 artis, but culling bad ones is hard as I struggle to work out whats bad

Damage dealt on + is so good with Woosa's S2. man the damage and heals becomes so much fatter. I was wondering way back when I was fixing my support mons and checking out a sub which was spd under inability bec I told myself i am sure there exists that sub, but only to find out it was ady phased out. It was really bad, cause there are support mons that do not benefit a lot on almost all the available subs and spd under inability/ dmg received under inability couldve been good. Reflect dmg looks nice too and If i had alexandra I would definitely feel bad of not grinding artis when they first came out.

Yes, Add Dmg by SPD and HP is superior to Add Dmg DEF and ATK simply due to the fact that it is easier to capitalize on SPD and HP in PVP especially in this bruiser meta where basically everything needs at least 30k HP and good spd. DEF being kind of a crappy stat in general that can be reduced by def break or can be ignored.

-dmg by element is by far the best sub in the game. It's pretty good in rta and in seige all 6 mons in each battle should ideally have double rolls or better. It's so so so important. Praha and Juno really should be built with attack. Praha slightly less maybe, but Juno especially needs to be doing damage or she's a dead pick most of the time

wow i totally misunderstood the speed increasing effect.. gah.. the game is so frustrating sometimes because one would think "oh speed increasing effect, increases my current speed based on the monster's current speed" but no it increases the speed based on the speed increase buff, it would be much easier to understand if it says "increase effectiveness of speed buff", or better yet just straight up say what it is! i.e. "add 1-5% extra speed increase on top of speed buff" lol..

crit damage as enemy hp condition is X is actually quite straightforward it seems. My lushen is trash so don't mind my numbers but the very first card hits 10k+ because of the artifact, then the rest of the cards do 9kish. Basically it deactivates as soon as the HP is not 100% it seems.

Could an argument be made that additional dmg by defense in a long game give more value than additional dmg by hp on the basis that hp drops but defense doesn’t as the match drags on? Obviously the %s are different, but taking into account the max values, wouldn’t the gradual decaying of hp mean that it gives less value later in the match?

I got caught on the "Life Drain+" I believe theres a difference between Recovery and Life Drain when used on Laika, which you used as an example If a unit recovers HP according to the damage dealt, they dont Life Drain. Like Laika S1. So the skill itself doesnt benefit from Life Drain + Any other takes?

Not sure I understand this, but you are 100% on Laika, he benefits from both life drain and s1 recovery. There was a thread on Reddit where a guy managed to lifesteal more than 100% of the damage by stacking life drain and s1 recovery artifacts. I'm not 100% sure, but my understanding is that lifesteal is capped at 100% and additive, while s# recovery is multiplicative. In other words, if your skill has 30% lifesteal ("recovers hp by 30% dmg dealt") and you have 20% lifesteal on artis, you will recover 50% of the damage. If you have 10% additional recovery for that skill, it goes on top of your total lifesteal, making it 55% total. I'm 100% that no kind of lifesteal works with additional damage (either from artifacts or skills like Feng passive). This is why Suiki lifesteals much more than Kaki, even on s1. edit: Not sure if this is obvious, both properties work with vampire runes. Vampire Mo Long with s3 recovery and lifesteal in artifacts is a legit build if you run an aggressive team that doesn't pick heals/shields/invincibility and shields and you only use Mo Long to snipe counters to your team or nasty LD5s. You also want additional damage on fire (Juno, Karnal) or light/dark. If you run him in a bruiser team, you probably want him on violent with a lot of additional damage based on speed (don't just stack dmg from hp because that one falls off in long fights; talking about rta, obviously).

I have a team that uses Lydia and watching people kill the self’s on her reflect damage is hilarious Had I got 2 artifacts with max reflect damage rolls Lydia would have 63% reflect damage rolls. That would be so busted I am so sad I missed out on that

Artifacts are not at all niche and make a huge difference in pvp if you spend the time grinding out the right stats. Units like Charlotte have become meta almost solely because of artifacts.

This is highly inaccurate tier list and very misinforming, I'm sorry. I'll give a few examples where it's hugely terribly wrong: 1. Addl dmg by atk is super good, especially in rta where fights go to 30% and over, arguably its almost as good as hp since that one drops as the fights get longer but the multiplier is slightly better - it belongs in S right after dmg by hp. 2.addl dmg by def is slightly worse but still better than literaly everything else that isnt addl dmg, again in S, right after dmg by atk. 3. Cd as good is very neiche, only good as an additional cd grab after u maxed out your skill X cd for that unit, and if that unit is a single hit nuke like copper, it would be very bad after the first card on lushen's amp for example, all the way down to high C. 3. Skill 3 cd is really nothing great either since it usually yields less dmg addition than lets say additional dmg by atk on anything that doesnt hit once, that should be somewhere in high B maybe low A 4. Skill 3/2 acc and maybe even skill 1 acc, are probably the best artifacts after additional dmg and elemental bonuses, because they allow u to max out on acc with less rune rolls for it and allows ur units to be tankier and faster as well as more consistent, low S. 5. Cd recieved is disgustingnly bad, it reduces so little damage it is absolutely useless, on anything and anyone except units that have NOTHING else to gain from artifacts, i would probably put it last in C. 6. Bomb dmg is top tier for bombers, your john and sian crave high rolls on it and while there arent many bombers in the game but those that exist NEED this to be multiple rolls, so you don't need many of these artifacts buy you do need to chase a few high roll ones, because of low usability yet high yields for the units that enjoy it, it should sit somewhere in B. 7. Damage recieved and dealt on are your go to damage increase and decrease stats, they are by far the best stats after all the additional dmg deal by spd/hp/atk/def and right before s3/s2 acc. The amount of bonus they provide is so much more than anything else and so they belong in mid S. There are more things to note but it's already a 40 minute (kek) message.

Keyword "general tierlist". Most of your arguements change with the comp you're running and playstyle. It would be a 200 hour video if Bagel dove into every stat on every unit in every comp against every opponent in every scenario

@@Andrew..J literally all the examples i gave were for general use. Was I inclined towards pvp and rta? Yes, but so is his tierlist, stating S is super good IN PVP. So I don't get your point. My bottom line is his list is VERY inaccurate when all things are considered, and I can see so many people selling good artifacts while keeping bad ones IF they choose to rely on said list.
