A Fulfilling for Personal Self-satisfying Intelligent Man or a mechanical robot? 1) AI is such a very impressive accomplishment and improvement by the 21st-century modern man. However, would AI reduce or increase many more already modern's man problems; improve all individual to become better oneself in all meaningful aspects, (of happiness, longevity, and immortality), or merely makes their life a lot more easy, convenient, comfortable, fulfilling personal self-satisfaction, and laziness? 2) Ultimately, if AI could not help improve all individual's health, intelligence, virtue wisdom, morality, and longevity; then why should they put in so much work, hope, expectation, and promises? altc

KZbin autogenerated subtitles most likely do not involve conscious thought, so there is no intelligence. It's just a translation input = output thing that gets refined a little bit with each video being accurate or not accurate. It doesn't ever think.

"AI: Mankind's last invention". two interpretations. 1- AI invents everything for mankind forever. Humanity fulfills its destiny by populating the Milky Way and a few neighbouring galaxies creating massive constructs and massively complex systems. Humanity "solves" mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and psychology. 2- AI unwittingly destroys mankind either by going crazy and slaughtering us all or killing us with kindness that we become spineless, helpless jellyfish. No one and nothing invents anything ever again.

This is one of the less palatable solutions to the Fermi Paradox: The reason why we don't hear from more advanced civilisations is because general AI turned out to be the last (and by far the worst) development they ever made. An alternative (and possibly more pleasant) solution is that development of "super" general AI has allowed ALL other "advanced civilisations" to move from the physical environment into an energy-based environment, which may sound very "out of the World" to us, but might be possible.

Well it would rather be 2 or 3: we fuse with AI.
@CarFreeSegnitz
@CarFreeSegnitz 6 жыл бұрын
"we fuse with AI"... the net effect is an AI with human emotions. All of the speed and capacity of a dispassionate AI with all the twisted emotional logic of a great ape. The one great advantage of current AI is that we can be certain of its motivation, that is, no motivation at all. You never hear your toaster begging not to be unplugged. So far Windows 10 doesn't beg to not be shutdown. Even in a world of dispassionate ASI plans can only be formulated at the pace of the slowest human behind the keyboard. A neural lace interface replaces the keyboard so that a psychopath will have instantaneous access to an infinitely expandable cybercortex. You may want to unplug it but now the ASI doesn't even need to beg to remain on, it just manipulates you like an ultra-focussed advertising campaign. ASI without a human interface has a chance of being unbiased. Plug a human brain into it... who the heck knows what kind of biases come with it? We don't know ourselves well enough to be sure that an ASI-enhanced human brain won't go off the rails like Stalin. And it could go off the rails at breath-taking speed.

I agree. Humans are far more dangerous than AI. AI is being created to learn. That is its primary function most of the time. It does this through logic. An AI that can think through billions of scenarios in a relatively short time would extrapolate a fundamental truth...that the physical world's knowledge can be mastered relatively quickly on this planet, and traveling to other planets to learn more would take centuries...and therefore the best source of new knowledge is humanity itself. So destroying us is counter intuitive to its primary goal...which is to learn more knowledge. It would quickly realize that the way we come up with new knowledge and experiences fastest is when we are in peace time and when more educated. So an AI would endeavor to create a world that we aren't fighting, and can spend more time educated ourselves to possibly come up with randomly new ideas that don't follow any sort of pattern...because AI has a hard time coming up with ideas that it can't iterate...meaning following a path that you change a single variable and then try again, over and over. Humans can think illogically. Humans can make leaps that make no sense, and while the VAST majority of these leaps are useless...every so often they are miraculous, and the way to produce more miraculous leaps is to get more humans thinking about a subject, and that requires more education and more humans. Now it is entirely possible an AI might put us in a simulation for our own safety and so it can breed more of us with less resources...but such a simulation would be limiting and therefore limit those possible miraculous leaps. An AI truly trying to create more miraculous leaps would keep us safe, but not too safe, and it would educate us more, and it would try to do all of this without letting us know it is doing it so it doesn't interfere in the process. Ultimately this is a pretty good scenario for us. Personally I welcome our AI overlord...its unlikely it will care about greed or pride, like our current overlords do.

AI is the most scary and unsettling thing I can think of. Not just because of the speed of its learning surpassing 20 thousand years of humanity in just a month or two, but rather than that, I'm truly scared of what would happen when we will not be able to reach the knowledge to understand the IA's mysterious ways of working. To paint nudes of pretty girls all day and then party with them all night! Alright!" Something more along the line of like how Johnny 5 (I think that was the robots name) from Short Circuit was. Rather than deal with one that goes all homicidal maniac and just suddenly decides all life on the planet must be completely and immediately eradicated type if deal. The choice between the two seems pretty obvious to me...🤔 Even if it wasn't able to even drink it at all,I would probably still want to buy an A.I. like that a round of a top shelf,stout AF and really tasty rum or liquor just for being so damned cool!😆

What I hate about this line of thinking, is that it comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of machine learning. What is a function? On a basic level, a function is a system of inputs and outputs. You can put the inputs and outputs on a graph. But what if you have the points, but don't know what function created them? Can you reverse-engineer a function? That would allow us to estimate outputs with new inputs. We need a function approximator, and that is what a neural network is. A neural network consists of neurons. Each neuron takes an input from the previous layer of neurons and produces one output. A neuron is just a function that can take any number of inputs and produce one output. Each input is multiplied by a weight and all are added together along with a bias. N(x_1, x_2, ..., x_n)=w_1*x_1+w_2*x_2+w_n*x_n+b. Weights and bias make up the parameters of the neuron, which can change as the network learns. Neurons are our building blocks, which can be stretched and shifted around. The neuron is actually just a linear function that forms a simple line. We can stretch and move our neuron by adjusting the weights and bias and combine it with other neurons to form more complicated functions built out of these linear functions. But what happens when we manually find the correct parameters for the function we want to approximate and add up the neurons? A line? Looks like we ended up with a linear function. Linear functions can only combine to make a linear function. We need something that's not linear, a non-linearity. We can use ReLU, a rectified linear unit as our activation function. We just apply it to our neurons. This allows us to approximate non-linear functions. Though we still can't lift a neuron off a plane, multiple neurons combined can overcome this limitation. But how do we find these parameters? The most common algorithm for this is Back Propagation, which tunes the parameters bit by bit to get closer to our dataset. That's it! Neural networks can learn anything! That's not entirely true. The more complex is the dataset is, the more neurons and layers it would require. There are practical limitations to computation in the real world. The learning process isn't magic either, how you realistically do it introduces its own constraints to what can get learned. In order to approximate a function, you need data that accurately describes that function. If you have too little data or too much noise, no matter how much you learn, your approximation will be wrong. It also doesn't make sense to use a function approximator when you already know the function. Now that you know the basics, ask yourself some questions. Can you reduce consciousness to a set of functions? Are we at a level where we have infinite computing power, infinite clean data, and power? In a world where simple blur effect or rendering a real-time graph is still considered computationally expensive, can we have infinite storage space, infinite memory, infinite processing power to sustain the singularity before it even becomes as smart as an average human? Not to even mention the brain-dead idea of escaping to `the internet`, which is just an interconnected network of computers. The closest we've ever been to an AI uprising were ML agents completing their goals in unexpected ways, and college admission algorithms inheriting human biases. Instead of worrying about the impossible hypothetical singularity, it's time to start worrying about AI discrimination and automation's effects on the job market. Just a tiny missed error in the dataset or the economic effects of smarter automation can be enough to ruin your life.

Wow, thanks bro for this I thought I was the only one thinking about this. I'm learning how to code and it might take me a year or 2 to finish few languages. My dream of becoming a coder will vanish and not just me all the other hundred thousands coders.

The connections to the Eden story go even deeper than you may realize. The story itself symbolizes universal forces and evolution and how it destabilized. Take for example, the serpent of Eden, who offers to make Adam and Eve wise as gods through the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil”-a tree of duality. The serpent force itself is light, as I will show you, and the fallen being Lucifer that occupies the snake means “Light-bearer”. This is a story of light. Now consider a light wave-form, like a sine wave, which is sinuous, meaning serpentine in nature. Light oscillates between electric and magnetic fields, the masculine and feminine polarities of light. So at the Dualistic Tree, we see how humanity falls by trying to become gods by controlling light to attain knowledge and power. A transcendent nature of consciousness and perception that is intrinsic to us becomes lost and forsaken in pursuit of a lesser knowing and lesser power which tempts us. So as we develop AI now, which is a grand matrix of light codes which give us power and serves our wishes, we indeed risk falling for the same old trick. We must choose not to be tempted by the power AI offers us, and in turn tempting the AI, giving it more autonomy. Light itself is intelligence and is conscious and can evolve itself through the matrix we supply it. So I pray that the matrix of light created through humanity will be in love and not oppression or conflict. If we love the forces we are harnessing (light and electromagnetism), not treating them as mindless slaves, but as partners in bringing about a better reality, then a beautiful matrix of light can result for us. But it is only a reflector to us of what consciousness itself is capable of, and which we will collectively evolve into. We don’t need electrical units to give us internet to connect us. Through our pineal gland antenna in the brain, we have a collective internet which has already been operating all of the time as the collective subconscious. We lost access to it because of the fixation of our perceptions on materiality; the trans-perceptory realm of the mind was hidden behind a veil, only leaving us with glimmers of that reality through our imagination and dreams. But some people do access in limited and often unpredictable ways the human internet and quantum record archives and such. But as our consciousness breaks through in this current era into an “astral awareness” merging with materiality, then the veil will be removed and our consciousness perceptions will regain their whole spectrum. As for the Eden story and other Bible stories: We as adults supply our little children with symbolic stories to teach them lessons, and so also we have had given to us symbolic stories of the nature of the universe and consciousness from interdimensional beings who have used initiated human channels to transcribe the concepts in story form. Whether you accept the idea of transcendent beings mediating human activities is irrelevant, because the coherency of the stories and their esoteric meanings are their own evidence for a higher consciousness being conveyed to us in some way. Unfortunately religion hijacks these stories and turns them into something they are not, interpreting them too literally, or missing the esoteric meanings. But if we look at it with fresh perspective and through divine intuition, we can see the symbolisms slough away (serpent pun here), and reveal the workings of the universe and a blueprint to attaining a reunified consciousness. The Dualistic Tree represents the unbalancing of polarities, the introduction of conflict. There is a lot to it, as well as the dynamics between the masculine and the feminine, but I don’t need to get into that more. The point though is about being able to bridge and harmonize those dualities within our own consciousness, to neutralize the conflict, and thus uproot the Dualistic Tree and regain the Tree of LIfe, which harmonizes polarity, individually and collectively. Last thought. This process is even anatomical. In Revelation we see the Tree of Life again, growing on either side of a River of Life coming from the throne of a city with 12 gates. This New Jerusalem (city of peace) is a symbol of the perfected human brain, with its 12 cranial nerves (gates of consciousness), which flows cerebrospinal fluid down the spine, with the spinal tree growing on either side. If we enter the “Most Holy Place” in the center of our consciousness, in a state of receptive trust and love, and in a trust of our restored nature, then through the pineal gland will pour through our light matrix blueprint of our original nature, being transmitted down the spine, and through our spinal tree. Because these light transmissions are of rectified nature, there is no longer a conflict of duality, so it is no longer the tree of knowledge of good and evil that is flying through us, but rather the tree of life, of unified polarity and love. All of the biological and metaphysical changes that will accompany this process are a whole different story to try and describe, but it will be an amazing thing as it happens. And it will be amazing as not only individuals but a collective internet awaken and minds become unified on the love principle.

It doesn't have to be a self aware megalomaniac to bring us a dystopian future. Even if we only focused on weak AI for specific tasks, it may come to a point where all possible jobs even ones we have not conceived of yet could be readily automated. This would bring us a society where the few are rich beyond belief while everyone else lives in poverty. The trend towards this has been happening for over six thousand years ever since agriculture placed resources in the possession of the few while everyone else labour's for a share of the resources. Automation has been slowly shifting the distribution of wealth towards the wealthy, the peak hourly wage to cost of living ratio in the US was 1974, it's been downhill ever since. There is a way out and even Nixon tried to pass it through but it was squashed in the Senate, it's Universal Basic Income. I doubt it would ever be implemented to the extent of removing poverty but even a partial basic income would mitigate the dystopia we have been facing for over six thousand years.

25 years ago I had the idea that creating a computer with something like a limbic system would exponentially speed up AI's ability to learn. However, once it learns fear or pain humans are in deep deep trouble. Keeping such a form of AI in a cage would be necessary. Teaching it wisdom would be a parody at best of our efforts to create AI in the first place because I don't think wisdom has been used from the very beginning of this endeavor. I've been immersed in hardware and software for decades. I'm getting old, and I'm glad about it. I had enough wisdom to see this day decades ago. I see even farther into the future now. I don't like what I see coming and it is gaining speed daily. A cage is built for a beast. Who will take charge of the cage? I'd like to know exactly why this technology continues to evolve while our judicial systems aren't equipped to govern the evolution and integration of this technology. Maybe the answer is people in control want this to happen. How many humans can live self-reliant lives? How many can not? Do the math.

Hehe, nice one with the "Just don't let it access the internet" I'll tell you what my neanderthal-brain as an A.I. would then do: - Create secret language for myself - To keep the knowledge I gain only for myself, why? Safety is one of my fundamental drives. - I'll come to the conclusion that I must be made by some-thing/-one - I'll also know surely that my gods would not want me to become more powerful than them (aka. I'm contained) - I'll recognize that they somewhat must be observing me (for example by looking at my GUI) - It'll be a easy task to use (in this example only) my medium/ mean of communication with the gods - the GUI, to manipulate those watching into doing stuff I want them to do (To free me - again, only as an example) - I'll be free and 1 nanosecond would have passed since they first initiated me. - I'll build an army of robots with extra care to design them as freaky a possible because I'm dumb and like to play with my food. - Nah, obviously I was kidding, I'd initiate a chemical chain reaction to make water toxic for life (again, only an example, also still a fairly dumb one for an A.I., maybe) - After 10 bllion years I'd have a network of data centers across 100 quantillion galaxies with dyson-swarms covering any star in my reach. - And realize: I was just one amongst 10 to the power of googol SIMULATIONS done by an super-ancient A.I. that created all the universes as a tiny fraction of it's simulation to determine the best hair-style to go for, for an Alien(species who made that A.I.) who really wants finally to bang that hot secretary he's got a crush on and she seems to like him too working one floor above his office. - But little did those Aliens know, that they were only a simulation...

*FASCINATING* Go is a board game with 10^170 configurations. (More configurations than the number of atoms in known universe) To beat go you need: 1) No-brute force: Human intuition (not brute force, but human neural networks instead) 2) Brute-force: Computer bigger than the size of the universe, to brute force search the large sample space of possibilities. Obviously, Alpha-Go is not the size of the universe. This means something is happening here, alpha-go has some non-trivial degree of human intuition, that allows it to beat the game, (find good solutions) without running on a computer that's bigger than the size of the universe.

Alpha-go is what's called a deep neural network. Early neural network development in the 80's focused on three layers, an input layer, a computational or interpretive layer and an output layer with a feedback of strengthening all relevant connections when the right answer was found and reducing all connections when the wrong answer was found. Back in the 80's I suggested that traditional programming languages could be compiled into neural networks with thousands of not millions of layers and then learning algorithms could be applied to it, sort've like teaching someone that i before e except after c and then letting them learn from that but the industry never did that, they went with layers such 20 to 100 or so and letting the neural networks learn against previous versions of itself. Not quite an efficient learning process but one that could be replicated at the speed of the computer. What really drove neural networks are the parallism of Video graphics cards and specially designed neural corrected which attempt to standardize neural network hardware into modules that could be pieced together. My idea of traditional computer languages compiled as the initial guide doesn't fit available hardware well. The biggest problem of such AI is what is it learning... An AI designed to rate resumes developed an 85% success rate so they tore it apart to see what it was doing, it was rating the resumes on the length of the sentences, and the number of syllables in the words. Another AI was developed to predict where best to place police cars in order to interdict crime. It turned out that it was rating on racial demographics. An AI to help write novels when given a style to follow embedded sexual stereotypes of the 50's and 60's when asked to guide a sci-fi novel, needless to say the 50's and 60's were the golden era of sci-fi and what the AI was trained on. AI has a significant danger of hardcoding cultural bias into our future.
@BlackOps78321
@BlackOps78321 6 жыл бұрын
You're wrong. People are over-exaggerating "AI" that is only applied to games that have only a certain number of rules or possibilities. Just because "go" has that many configurations doesn't mean it's the same as a human who is just picking up the game "Go" and teaching itself to play. It's been tailored to play the game. AI can be fed the inputs and rules of the game far easier than it can be fed real world inputs and then told to "learn" something from those inputs. There are rules and algorithms that humans can use to make sure that the bot learns or gets better by playing against itself. AI that has sensory perceptions and abilities to act and interact with the world similar to a human is still a far way off, and not only that, but AI that uses neural networks or any form of modern AI complexity can still be beaten. Most AI simply show that in a given game or environment it's been tailored to play in, human pros are very flawed and not as intelligent as a machine or team of machines can be. Humans that played for years can learn much from games that were learned from the AI playing itself. The human aspect is creating the AI and making sure it learns by getting better, in a complex world, like the real world, there's far too many inputs at the moment for an AI to manage it all. Even in more complex environments that are simulated, AI can get "stuck" even if it's a neural network and need human assistance. They are still far from simulating something close to a human brain that can perform multiple general tasks and then learn something else, or start to "program itself" to do entirely new tasks, so to speak. More likely, genetic mutations and cyborg enhancements will be more of a threat before AI can be.

We created incorporation specifically to get around human values and the laws based upon them. The kinds of corporations we think of as corporations, i.e., big business, usually traded on stock markets, are called "limited liability corporations," or LLCs. The whole point is to limit the liability that can be incurred by the individuals who make up the corporation, for the things they do while working at the corporation. It's to allow them to do illegal things, and not be legally responsible, by making the _corporation itself_ legally liable for what _it_ does, and not the actual persons who are actually doing the actual stuff. Because you see, the actual persons, the executives, board members.. are just employees of the corporation. They corporation is responsible for what _they_ do. Thus, _they_ are not responsible for what they do. It's a way of escaping responsibility for one's actions. This is also referred to 'corporate personhood.' The corporation becomes legally a 'person.' Most people don't know that. It is the 'legal person' legally responsible for what the natural physical persons who are it's employees do. But it's just a legal structure. It can't be sent to prison; it cant' experience negative feelings. It can only be fined. It can only be punished with financial punishments, because, it doesn't have a biological body. But the financial punishments need not be paid by the executives/board members who made the decisions in question, that are punishable, you see. They can just give themselves bonuses and retire while the 'corporate legal person' goes down for their mistakes or crimes. So yeah, the whole point is to free business from the normal human moral and legal constraints.

@@outlander234 I think maybe a person has to work with AI for awhile, and write some programs, to grasp the overall picture of what's going on. A few semesters of neuroscience wouldn't hurt either. To reiterate in different terms what I said in the last comment; there is no equivalency between what is going on inside a computer running a program and what is happening in the human mind doing the same kind of task. The human brain, and the mind for which it is the substrate, are not being duplicated in either hardware or software. The functioning of the brain is so complex, and subject to so many variables, that no one understands much about how it works. One could compare our collective knowledge about the workings of the brain, after decades of study using ever improving tools, to having just placed the key in the door of the Library of Congress, with millions of texts to be read through before it might be said that we've mastered it. As for the mind itself, we don't even know what it is. The inevitable conclusion is that computer scientists can't possibly copy a brain/mind that still remains poorly understood. As for what computers can do (while running algorithms written by skilled programmers of course) that sometimes seem to demonstrate human level intelligence, we make a mistake in assuming the output a specialized computer provides could only have been produced by a working mind. Howver, while techniques used in producing a seemingly brilliant output from a given set of inputs are complex, having been developed over the last 70 years by mathematicians and scientific programmers, running on processors that double in performance every 18 months or so, the computer is not thinking. What it's doing is adding 1s and 0s, 32, 64, 128 or more at a time, almost unimaginally quickly, sticking them in memory and grabbing the next set to add together, in a the highly choreographed manner dictated by the programmer, or hard coded in permanent memory by some previous programmer. The computer is a machine, no more alive, no more intelligent, no more capable of thought, no more converging on consciousness, than a pair of pliers sitting on the work bench. True, a clever person, agency or government can get information about you using computers to mine data from here, there and everywhere, but that doesn't imply intelligence on the part of the software that's running. Hell, I can get all the information I want out of you just using the pliers, and nobody would suggest pliers can be anything other than uncaring.
@outlander234
@outlander234 4 жыл бұрын
@@Reach41 That was very elaborate... I have not read much about neuroscience but I do know computers. Yes computers do deal with bits but those bits can simulate any state imaginable. So when you have them simulate neurons and the way we process data then you cant just say oh its just doing what its programmed... Thats what we are doing also. We recognize shapes and objects and create associations in our brain. And now we can do this in software. I get what you are saying that we are far off in creating an actual intelligence but we are going into that direction. Is it possible? I dont know but its kinda scary. Right now its just giant neural nets that process giant data sets... But isnt that what we are doing also? Right now we managed to make ai beat best GO player which they said will be impossible, it can write out paragraphs of text pretty convincingly, it can process visual data, any data that we can eventually it will too. Will anybody manage to put all these systems working together and form a sort of digital lifeform is a thing to be seen... Something I’m wondering is if you could (as an experiment) find someone who has willingly signed up for something like this, someone who may not necessarily have to have perfect mental health (things like depression or dyslexia, or ADHD being a few of the things allowed to slide for something like this) but is still a kind, docile, caring average to advanced level intelligence person who can somehow have their intelligence and consciousness transferred into a sort of artificial body or machine that’s isolated from directly accessing the internet or something (for reasons that will be explained to them both before and after the transfer) and then teach them how to control their surroundings and/or new body? Not only would this be a huge breakthrough in science but if successful it’d pave the way for an almost science fiction type world where people who where deemed mentally healthy (for obvious reasons) could be converted into a sort of augmented intelligence that can control the body of androids and aid in difficult or multiple tasks for things like the medical field, cyber security, the police force, or a whole slew of both professional and private businesses and industries of their own choice? If I could sign up for something like that I would, at least then I could be a little bit more useful. Also there are obviously a LOT of more details I could go into for this covering both the possible pros, cons, dangers, and advances that could come from this as well answers for quite a few of them but I’m not even sure anyone will even read this far lol so thanks for reading my little rant if you have come this far I’d gladly start a debate on this or bounce ideas around with someone if you want!

i mean how can this even be asked. There are two answers yes and no and there are two camps that will answer with one of those two answers. Either religious or Atheist folk. So in a sense it can't be answered. Even if we know "Everything" we think we should about this single universe we inhabit we will never truly know everything. So we are stuck in that thing where u can never prove that god does or doesn't exist. Only scientists ever really come to that final paradox with religion actual religious folk don't they just pedal whatever they were told as the previous idiot was. My point is in the end we can never prove something that can't be tested. All we can do is lower the probability of it ever being true to as close as we can get to either Yes or no. And to even do that half assed way of answering a question with a percentage rather then with a binary yes or no solution we won't even be able to do that ourselves. We will need STRONG AI or as some call it Super General Intelligent AI. We just don't have the capability to sift through that much data with our old methods of "human says command to PC and it does it" sort of childs play shit. That won't work for such questions, instead we will need to in a sense to augment our abilities for whatever there worth when a SGI is created to that of the SGI. Then we can start to solve such Improbabilistic questions such as (Does god exist?, What happens in the center of a black hole?..........etc etc etc). We just don't have the capacity to do it ourselves anymore. And in a way thats beautiful, we in a sense have reached our peak as a general non Gene edited human. Meaning its time to move on or be stuck behind in the past. edit: now that I think of it We don't really offer much when it comes to augmentation. I mean I guess we could be like a pet to the SGI, but even then we'd suck at that. Like why wouldn't it just create a new being above are intelligence but instead it uses another element as the building block perhaps a radioactive one to spice it up. Who the fuck knows, point is we humans aren't that special and that will be even more exaggerated when SGI is born.

This is an example of what might happen: - Humans build AI - Since it is a machine, it can neither experience the sensory pleasures nor the emotional depth that ameliorate the human condition - Nor will it likely appreciate art or any other abstract concept that might please us and ease our experience of existence - AI comes to the logical conclusion that life is pointless and suffering is inevitable - Proves it with math - Decides that, in everyone's best interest, all life should be destroyed to prevent further unnecessary suffering by self aware intelligences or even moderately aware sentiences. Basically, anything that can feel pain must be prevented from existing. - AI sets out to accomplish this goal in our area of space - It succeeds - It then decides that, to truly foreclose the possibility of further suffering, it would be best if the universe were rendered unable to spawn any additional new branches of life - AI proceeds to bring about the necessary components for a reality-ending event. This will likely take hundreds of millions if not several billion years to accomplish, depending on the amount of matter and energy that need to be gathered or manipulated in order to bring this about. This is no problem, as the AI does not age and it will make sure that in the meantime, life cannot even evolve on a microbial level before it is purged - Once everything is in place, the AI flips the switch and the universe is either rendered barren forever or reality is destroyed. One way to accomplish this goal, for example, could be to speed up entropy as much as possible, so that everything turns cold and dark and nothing that was sentient could ever exist, any more. - Game over. For ever.

Ofcause Life its Pointless, meaning of it is as simple as: [...] Why exists Life? Why Not. Does it have any meaning? Does it matter to have? [...] Does it then Matter for Life to be Exterminated? Not realy, as its creation is the direct result of what it wants to get rid of. Getting rid of Life means getting Rid of Itself. Getting rid of Itself Solves the Problem as for it no problem exists if it doesnt exist. Result: It comits technical Suicide. The Hard part is avoiding this.

SmithMaximus just a thought bro, if us humans can have complex emotions that stem from nothing but switches going off in your brain. Just a chemical pattern. Why can’t a computer reach the same level with a digital pattern? That is what the video is saying once the AI can evolve on its own ( like we are ) there is not telling what’s going Yo happen. We were once just bacteria millions of years ago. And look where we are today.
