Artificial intelligence Motherlode aiding Royal Navy helicopters

A new artificial intelligence (AI) tool is keeping Royal Navy helicopters flying by modernising maintenance and support.
Engineers at RNAS Yeovilton are using Motherlode, which makes the most of AI to make sure maintenance work is both smarter and more efficient.
The overall goal is to increase aircraft availability, which is partly done by predicting when parts may become faulty so engineers are ready to replace them.

The RN has been an advocate of innovation and pioneering technology since Pepys and must continue to strive at least a few steps ahead of the game to help mitigate any future threats... Thanks for sharing 👍

PPM's, continuous improvement teams and mtbf, I was doing this 20 years ago with the aid of computer based maintenance systems. Doesn't need AI, just good technicians!

I am going to gave an artificial intelligence Jakemans cough sweet now. I don't know how I survived before my sweets were AI powered. The world simply did not run. I thought it was another line of a computer program with the latest catchphrase.
