Very good explanation of how artillery is organized and the gun types. This foundation helps.

A very good presentation and am looking forward to reading the book. However, I'm a bit confused. In discussing the disadvantages faced by the Union artillery, Mr. Rosebrock states they had no Corps Artillery, then mentions Clarke and Getty who supposedly led the artillery of the 2nd and 9th Corps respectively. Were they only administrators or did they also have operational control of the guns?

Would have been important to actually address what the artillery accomplished at Antietam.

You didn't say in your beginning what the heck a "limber " is. Make sure you define things & don't move on. What is a "limber?" Is that something your mother puts under your nose at night before you go to bed when you have pheumonia? You didn't tell us what the heck a "limber" is. Tell that guy in the back to shut up. He's not giving the presentation. In the audience I see 4 older men & one she-male. Good presentation. Thank You.
