You should test the apfsds round on obj685 light tank, probably 3BM25 if i remember correctly, it can fly almost 15km before the game despawn the shell. And by the impact, it’s actually good to use the apdsfs at that long range than HE or HEVT becuz of comparison to most of HE shell can just reach 13-14km, the 3BM25 (yes, includes 100mm from obj685, and 125mm on T72s) can reach that far, and still maintain the damage (I know the spash damage from HE can correct the false of the distance dispersions, but in many cases, auto loader on light tanks which has drone can ensure the efficiency of all in one)

he did show at the beginning of video, take off with your drone, fly starigth up, then use drone rangefinder in camera to determine the aprox range, then you just shoot it and see if it landed short or too far, and then adjust it
