You know I admire the amount of work this man has made and left behind. You know what I learned from him he always evolved that's what an artist does you can't keep doing the same thing over and over again unless your trying to perfect it. We're suppose to learn from him. I draw and I want to paint but my mind is evolving what I do now I will not be doing it in a few years I'll probably be painting. There's so many things I want to do but what I learn from manet, don't be afraid to do it even though you fail because this is how you learn and don't be afraid of what other people think because nine times out of ten they can even draw a straight line. Love him

One of my all time favorite artists and yes such an interesting man privately, avant garde in his era yet he only wanted exposure at the staid and often times, bland, Salon, he was a painter of beautiful women who married an enormous dutch baby of a woman who most of his friends did not meet, and by whom he had a son that he never truly acknowledged as his, he was the proverbial puzzle wrapped in a riddle as they say, but a great genius of a painter, I really enjoyed this feature, thank you.

@Queen queen His wife was Dutch and obese not that there is anything wrong with marrying such a woman, but it certainly runs counter to the beautiful women he liked to paint, maybe she offered a rest for his eye?

@Queen queen He might have been empathetic toward women but not so much his son who he denied was his son until his dying day

The two most important painters of the last two hundred years who were responsible for the progress of Modern Art are Delacroix and Manet. No doubt in that.

A look into the matter of his "health problems" will reveal an interesting detail about the private Manet.

In 6 minutes you put something like 45 seconds of his paintings passing quickly through the screen and 5 minutes showing people talking. Why?

You can look up the paintings online... But you can't get the story and knowledge... Shut up and learn.
