Tajul Sir is very humble, low profile person, 1st person 2 educate me on oud, He does so much testing with oud... ceramic drums, changes in distillation period, soaking period and what not, supplier to several renowend online sellers but neva mentions due to marketing issues i feel :) I did a lot of research and finally reached him years bk. I would call his oils as designer ouds instead of traditional ouds. I still have 2 of his ouds which are almost 6 yrs old now, Very Genuine pricing. One of the problems with OUD and Oils is the Poor packaging. they use cheap metal caps that spill when traveling. or carrying in your purse. it explodes in the pockets. Major perfume companies take a lot of care when they package to make the container Air Tight. I Wish Oud makers do that in the future.

Just ordered both the samples 1g each. That would be my 1st Oud in my collection. I had sampled low quality Oud in few Mumbai stores but they smelled so much of cowdung n urine...so was reluctant to buy since I thought they might be adultered. Hi Nikhil bhai , Yesterday was just roaming around cannought place and the smell even far outside Ajmal store was so enticing... So sweet and serene , just like the Tom ford oud wood sample that I have. Wondering whether its the way oud smells or that Ajmal having some similar sort of perfume to tf oud wood in their arsenal ? Wasn't able to visit the store as was in hurry but the query just not leaving me ...

It could be either. But Ajmal uses real Oud in most perfumes. That's their signature product used in many high end perfume lineups also like Frederic Malle.

Dekho dost Ensar khud distiller nahi hai. Infact ye log khud Tajul Sir se tail lete the. Video fir de dekho. For commercial purpose low grade wood (low resin/agar content) is distilled. That also gives oil. But longer soaking will lead to degradation and cause bacterial fermentation. Usse smell aa jaati hai. Artisans change the water regularly or do less soaking. Bahut technical cheez hai brother. Kya bola jaaye. There are many myths and lies in fragrance industry.

Yes Bhai Indian Oud ki baat ho rahi hai. Adam mineral water istemaal karte hain regularly water change karte hain. Ensar se zyada Taha aur bahuton ne bataya hai. Have u heard of master distillers like Mohd Taftazani or the Chinese Distiller who doesn’t speak English ? Oriscent ke zamaane ki sabhi bade tail unke banaye hue hain khud Ensar ne bataya hai. It is already mentioned by Ensar in all Oud description. Taj bhai was making clean Indian Ouds for very long time. Try Hindi Artisanal Ouds and compare with Tajul sir s oils. Basenotes pe bahut discussion hain detail mein Gen1, Gen2, Gen 3 distillation pe. Batao kispe kya bataun ?
