Sir , Kalimantan borneo vs kohkang vs trat vs pursat which one beautiful?
@scentexplorer9 ай бұрын
For me, region wise 1)Borneo 2)Kalimatan 3)Kohkang 4)Trat and then Pursat at the end. I love Borneo Ouds a lot then Kalimatan is from Malaysia which is again one of my favourite regions. KohKang Cambodi is so airy and breezy and Trat is a mix of chinese and Thai oud regions.

Few from Ensar Oud, few from Ashworth Oud, few from Imperial Oud (former now its Yusa.Aromatics). I have separate video where I have shared the resources to buy Artisanal Oud Oils

Salam Bhai, recently watched your video on Kashmiri Musk Grains. I wanted to know if you can directly rub those grains on your skin?
@scentexplorer Жыл бұрын
Yes you can but read my comments above. Better mix them with Rose Absolute like Damascus or Bulgarian Rose and then use them or mix them with Mysore Sandalwood and wait at least 6 months

I really enjoy Sumbawa oud. Where can I find more? I was given a 1ml bottle as a gift. I also enjoy Kalimantan oud but when I purchased more of it from an ETSY shop, it didn't smell the same as the 1ml sample I received as a gift. What do you think is the issue?
@scentexplorer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! Yes I also love Sumbawa and Kalimantan wood I burn mostly, burning Kalimantan Oud wood is calming to nerves

Which perfume or attar you have?

@@scentexplorer it’s private label oil with blend of oud scents so I personally am unsure of the base oud smell, would love your opinion if you’re open to it!

From all these mentioned, which one is more sweet, airy and easy wearing for a begginner oud starter? I'm looking for something close to an attar...but not that headache inducing...hope you can assist, thanks :D

Indonesian region, Borneo, Aceh, Koh Kong Cambodi, Srilankan Oud Oils are recommended. If you want more sweet and fruity kind of sweet then Thai Oud oils are the start. Srilankan Oud Oils are a bit expensive so start with Indonesian Borneo, Aceh regions Oud Oils.
@scentexplorer3 ай бұрын
Few Malaysian Oils are also very exceptional quality. Read this thread. I think Sri Mango is great to start. Just buy 1g, not more to test www.ouddict.com/threads/updates-new-releases.7885/

Yes, only the top tier ones that cost $100+... If you are buying oud oil 3ml for less than $100, then it's mostly mixed with some chemical to dilute it

Do you have a favorite summer oud & winter oud?
@scentexplorer Жыл бұрын
Favorite summer would be Kambodi King (Koh Kong Region) along with Aceh Indonesia (green herbal, airy cooling). And for Winters, Pontiniak (chocolate, dark, dense, sweet) along with Zaza Zen (Rayong Thailand). For special occasions I wear either Tigerwood from EnsarOud or Alamgir (Imperial Oud)
