Totally understand artists want to do as many cons as you’re able to to grow so I’m sharing this to inform those who may not know this. But as a long time AZ cosplayer I want to make sure the community here knows the darker parts of this con. Taiyou con has lied to the community about keeping the previous owner, Gackto, away from the con and he wouldn’t be involved in it after many victims came forward about him SA and being a predator towards younger fem people. The con even blocked many long time con goers and cosplayers including myself that spoke out about this to silence us from sharing this info to new con goers in the community. Gackto has lied about his age to young mostly fem presenting people and Taiyou con continues to protect him and let him be in the community. I hope this helps with making decisions about which cons to vend at, but again I do understand as artist you need to make choices that will financially benefit you in the end.

Thank you for this comment, I know it can take a lot of courage to speak up. Being a con-artist is my full time income, and I appreciate your consideration for how difficult it can be from an artist's pov. This is important to know and will certainly affect how I approach this specific convention moving forward.
