Dimash is incomparable. He is Kazakh, singer, instrumentalist and composer. The first instrument is the Dombra, one of the traditional instrument in Kazakhstan. This song is in Kazakh. You haven't seen anything with this one song yet. He sings in many different languages and different genres (opera, neo-classical, pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, rap ...). Dimash is a big star in China since 2017 and with fans all over the world. He sings what he wants because he can. This one song shows his prowess for people who know vocal technique. I wouldn't say that he sings what he wants just because he can (although of course if he couldn't he wouldn't). There is always a reason for what he chooses to do. In this specific case, it was the nature of this program, called Beauty and Harmony, to show different approaches to a song, exchanging different cultural points of view. Dimash often sang this song in a traditional way in the past (often acapella), but here he showed a fresh and different combination that was a delight for all jazz lovers out there, without neglecting the traditional side. But in many cases, he doesn't do it at all. He usually performs a lot of his native Kazakh songs in the traditional Kazakh style only, for instance. But his vocals, no matter in what style/combination of styles he sings, are always superb and very expressive. Many of his songs and performances touch the soul very deeply.

Dimash has been popular in China since he appeared on the Chinese talent show in 2017. Since then his fan base has grown all over the world with fan clubs in most countries.. to his regular fans we are used to Dimash’s highs and lows and in between so that when he brings out anything different like this, we love it. He does a lot of shows in China and has bought out other performances on his channel lately as he was there for an award show and other venues. Hope you di more so that you can see his versatility. I suggest Stranger and Olympico between them they show a lot of his range and voices❤️❤️❤️

Dimash is soooo famous now that he is not singing just for new fans, he is actually still developing new types of singing and songs which we fans of his are always looking for. He is sooo profound and classy and humble, and that is hard to put together into one person. In fact, this is the first of this extended jazz that he has done, live for us to see, and as usual is better than anyone elses previous efforts, as he has adapted it out of his Kazakh culture, and has modernized it to our great delight. If you continue to watch his performances, I promise that you will quickly get drawn in to appreciation, as you realize that his talent is not from here.

Nice reaction 🙌 As part of the “Beauty and Harmony” program, Dimash delighted the audience in China with the Kazakh song Dudarai composed by Bakhytzhan Baikadamov. Dimash was accompanying himself on dombra and piano to perform the traditional song in jazz style. It was really amazing to see on stage a new facet of his multiple skills, always on point!! 🔝❤️🎤🪕 Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 29 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4. Dimash recently moved to Los Angeles and he is working in a new album. Dimash has been studying music since he was 5 years old. He has a master's degree in composition and a doctorate in musicology. Considered with absolute tone. Handles all vocal techniques. Complete control of voice and breathing. His vocal range goes from baritone to soprano. Multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer. So far we have heard him sing on stage in 13 languages: Kazakh, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, English, French, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, Japanese, Spanish, Armenian. Offstage in Arabic and German. The most versatile I know and has songs from different genres, from opera to rap. In addition, he is a great performer, unmatched when it comes to transmitting emotions and feelings in his songs and videos. An incredible human being, humble and committed, ambassador of peace wherever he goes. I recommend you watch his MV 'The Story Of One Sky'. Dimash worked for three years on this composition. He is also the scriptwriter of the MV, a high-quality video production that cost 7 million dollars. 300 people worked on this MV, more than 100 between orchestra and choirs. A video with a strong and necessary message for everyone that everyone should see is a masterpiece. With what we are seeing these days it seems that humanity is dehumanized. It is an event called "Harmony in Beauty", a part of the celebration "BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE" in China. As an academically educated musician, Dimash is aware of the rhythmic similarities in Kazakh folk music and American jazz. This is what he shows to the public - beauty in harmony, as well as understanding and unity in harmony and beauty. Dimash is not only a great musician - an astounding singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist; he is a world renown Ambassador of Goodwill. Hence this presentation. Apart from that, he works in the field of neoclassicism. Therefore, he enjoys mixing different styles and harmonies on a very high level, and if you don't like that kind of experience, you might not enjoy his work.

A good introduction to Dimash is SOS. It's become something of a signature song for him. It showcases a good range of his abilities. I've come to think of it as comparable to an olympic gymnast's floor exercise in that it gives you a taste of the best he has to offer in a lot of different areas: vocal range, technical expertise, and emotional delivery.

Dimash is a Kazakh singer who has a very impressive 7.2 vocal range and sings all genres of music from Opera to pop, rock, folk, classical, jazz and even raps and does it all to perfection. The start of the song is the original Kazakh folk way of singing this song and he then switched it up into a jazz genre, probably did the arrangement himself. Dimash does have classical training and was offered a place in Astana Opera House but he chose to go with a more cross-over style. He does still sing opera songs and is able to sing from very low to extremely high and then some! He is a phenomenon! He has a worldwide fan base and his fans (Dears, he calls us) travel to globe to see him in concert. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and composer and the most humble and caring young man who is very much a humanitarian and works hard toward peace and harmony in the world. He has studied music since aged 5 when his grandmother enrolled him in music school and the teacher there told her he has absolute pitch. He has 2 Degrees with honours in music and, I believe, has now completed his doctorate too. He sings in 14 languages and loves that his audiences, from different countries and cultures, sing along to his Kazakh songs with him at his concerts. There is much more to see and hear from this amazing man and I hope you continue with reactions to him as you will be stunned and amazed with every performance I promise you. I see others have suggested songs to listen and react to, so I will say please watch his performance of SOS (French) first and then Stranger (English) both from 2021 to give you a better idea of his immense talent. As far as I am aware, this is the only Jazzy song Dimash has done. It was a surprise to me when I first heard it! Dimash is Kazakh and sings in many genres and languages. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and a good deal of English and a bit of Mandarin. He trained as a tenor but can sing from baritone (and perhaps bass) to soprano beautifully. The whistle note was indeed him. The songs he has done for contests usually include a wider vocal range. You might enjoy some of his Kazakh folk songs which tend to stay more in his tenor voice. Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. It was a performance in a tv program called Harmony and Beauty - showing friendship, culzural connection & exchange between China and Asian countries.Dimash was invited to represent Kazalhstan ( he became famous in Chi a in 2017 when he participated in I am Singer, a contest show for rstablished si gers, and gained millions of fans, becazse if him, his fav book the work of Kazakhstan's great writer, pyilosopher, been translated to Chinese. His fans travrled to his concert in Kazakhstan,rtc and he got the totle of Ambassador of Belt and Road (or One Belt One Roaf) Silk Road Cohesion initiative. Dudarai is a trafitiinal Kazakh folk song, which somehow became popular in China with a different title & lyrics (something about a rose - that's why the rose on the led screen & stage.) Dimash started in traditional style playing dombra, the most impoertan traditional folk Kazakh instrument. Now he rearranged the song, I think it symbolizes the connection between cultures, cuontries (the music transcends boundaries, both country love this song as his own now), and mixing the ttaditional folk elements with modern music symbolizes thst the past is organic part of the present and future. So connectoon between cultures, traditional and modern past and future... He cooprtated with the worldclass pianist Lang Lang & Beijing Orchestra, they played the symphony of the Chonese composer who lived in Kazakhstan - he was on the street and a Kz musician took him to his hpme, then he lived his family son e then. This touchong story of humanity inspired filmmakers, to make a movie about this beautiful friendship, the authors, actor was invited to the show, and the daughter of the cpmposer. Dimash spoke a little too. This was the context. Dimash is trained in classical and pop jazz vocal, his master degree in composition, now working on his phd in musicology. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera, but he declined, cuz love to impovize, and mix genres, styles. His main musical direction neoclassical, crossover. If you want more of clasdical style, react to Olympico, El Amor En Ti... He is extremely versatile, he has both epic showcase songs and more simple pop songs too.

It's a Kazakh lute with only 2 strings called a dombra. He plays a lot of instruments, but most often sings and sometimes dances. Try a lot more, he does all sorts of music. You have to love some of it.

But you'd have to listen to at least 10 of his performances to get an decently full idea of his ability. It was an invitation to perform on cctv1, an official Chinese tv channel, on a program called 美美与共。however Dimash is from Kazakhstan. The Chinese love starting with a folk song, then turning it into a more modern version, and Dimash has previously recorded in China several such versions of Jasmine, a Chinese folk song. This time, it was a Kazakh folk song, which is why he accompanied himself with a dombra, a two-string Kazakh traditional instrument. The reason why we Dears (the name Dimash gave to his fans) are so excited is because it’s the first time he chose to do so in funk-jazz style. He can sing in any style, from classical opera, modern musical, pop, rock, jazz, rap, folk, ethnic, etc, and often loves mixing these together in a single song. His vocal range exceeds 7 octaves, so yes, those high notes you were wondering about were by him. But he can sing way higher than that. And way lower too. Dimash is Dimash. He sings what he wants and how he wants. We really want this diversity of His performances not to disappear. He has the voice, skills and technique so he will provide us with various songs and styles. This is His advantage. Dudarai is a Kazakh folk song that he adapted for this guest appearance on Culture and Harmony. He said that many Kazakh folk songs have a Jazz rhythm (something with tones, notes, I don't know the musical nomenclature), maybe that's why he made this version of the song.

Olympico is operatic. Listen to his Kazakh songs like Adai and Daididau, Samaltau. He has been singing since age 5. He gained fame at a Chinese I Am Singer contest six years ago. I went to his concerts and what I can say is that he has a pure, clean and warm voice. I can feel his singing in my heart and soul. Yess he’s known as is the one who’s vocal techniques are insane and vocal range is off the piano. As you continue to listen more to him you’ll experience it yourself. I subscribed.🍀🧿

He has a 6 octave range, plays 7 instruments and is classically trained. He has a masters in musicology and studies for his doctorate. The instrument is a dombra. He sings opera and has a beautiful song showing his different voices even harmonizing with himself and some R&B at the end. The song is El Amor en Ti. He sang this in Kazakh. He sings in multiple languages.
