If this is a style that you can enjoy (because it's definitely not for everyone), Feryquitous is part of the "artcore" movement. I know there is a lot of Doujin (think "amateur") music circles in Japan that are a kind of mix of artcore and more traditional rock. If you look up FELT's "Lost my Way" (track 3 from their album Cold Snap), it has more of that sound.

I think it's like a new Japan style ... cultivated from old video game works as inspiration. Its like dnb in there too. There's others like this. All the styles felt done outside the piece, then added to one piece. Then one theme piece throughout. Like 1 .. 1/2 ,1/4, 1/8, 1/16 all covered. Prolly binaural in ther. All over the place but I like it.
