From scanning through the comments, I’ve seen Samsung users have no real problems with the jitter in lines. It may just be a software thing with iPad OS, which I’ll probably wait for it to get resolved. For now using line correction for small details and slower lines will probably be the only thing I can do.

Thanks. After countless reviews I decided to actually go for a matte one :) I was worries about the actual protection- that glass probably gives more, but as I will be using my iPad at home primarily and I'm also getting a case, I think I'll try the matte one ☺️ hopefully my pressure will be light and my nibs and protector won't wear down fast 😅💕

Saved but I would buy it still cause I am not making things with Apple Pencil, I don’t have one. When I’ll buy it later I’ll probably chose something else or even look for it now if it is in similar price point. PS: if you have problem with Apple Pencil lines you need to get used to it. Other artists that I watched after this video got same problem but they said it just need to be trained.

I used to have a screen protection, but it kills the quality of the image and for an artist, the glass protection makes the pencil 2 worst. Now I'm working without it, the experience is great drawing with the pencil, and used rationally, if you have always the pencil tip in good shape, replacing it when needed, and not pressing over the surface like an animal, you will never have any scratch at the screen. This is not a phone. Just need a good case with cover for transport, but when you open it for daily use as an artist, the screen protection is not neccesary.

@@emmy8548 Hi Emmy, did you already adjust the Apple pencil sensitivity at for example, the Procreator settings? You can easily find how to do it on any YT video, and this way you won´t have to create excessive pressure while drawing/painting over the surface, and the pencil will never leave any scratch. But in terms of general device protection, not only because you draw or not, You can try the Tech Armor HD clear film protector, it works really well and it´s not overpriced like the "Paperlike", which kills your screen tones and brightness and, by the way, destroy your pencil nibs, or JETech film protector for iPad, which also has a very good price, is paperfeel, a bit matt also which could be good for artists but again, reduces the visual experience if you use your iPad for example to consume content, but at the same time, is cheap and not ultra-overpriced as the "Paperlike" protector is, which costs almost 4 times the price of the Procreator app XD. If you are not a full time artist and use your iPad on a regular basis, a cristal screen protector would be your best choice in terms of image quality. It adds some reflection in certain situations, but it´s not obstructive with the visual experience as the artists screen protection are (ALL), and gives the best visual experience by far when using a screen protection. Even if you´re just a casual artist, you can live with that weird jitter that the cristal slippery protection adds to certain straight lines when you are drawing, as shown on this review.

Wow, thanks so much for the extensive test review especially I’m really impressed by highlighting the straight line accuracy/wobbling issue which I personally face (I’m using the same screen protector). After watching this video, I’m considering to remove it and use without screen protector. What’s your advice since you’ve 2 iPads. Does the one without get scratches over time?

If you use a flip case it should be quite safe from scratches. I've a Samsung tablet with no screen protector and so far so good.

i love tempered glass protectors on my phone, but will the wobbly lines be a problem for every glass screen protector on ipad? Having watched this review i thought id go without, but already after one day of limited use, I noticed my pad has an irritating scratch and i only used it with soft fingertips.. so im pretty bummed out.. didnt even get the pencil yet and already a scratch. did I just get really unlucky with that? for drawing id ideally get a magnetic matte screen, but is there another option for the tempered glass?

hello, I want to compliment the quality and sincerity of your reviews on the different products. I'm a designer and illustrator and I recently got an iPad Pro 12.9 M2. and was going to buy Spigen tempered glass before watching this video… THANK YOU! As you suggested several times, I therefore wanted to opt for a SuperShieldz matte film, but unfortunately it seems not available… what do you suggest as a substitute? was I considering Bellemond, Paperfeel, doodroo, or something else? Grazie!

Most matte screen protectors are the same quality so don't have to spend too much.

hmm. I use Tab s6 lite and started using spigen glass screen protector a month ago. Mine doesnt come with installation frame like your. But mine also said "slim" on the cover. My spen dosnt make the diagonal line as bad as yours though. I wonder if the type you used is thicker, or is it just different when using apple pencil and s pen? Btw I've also recently changed to glass after using matte! (although I changed because more bcoz i'm worried for the longetivity of my spen tip lol) I'd say it feels a lot smoother and feels like you can glide at it xD

i will be getting an Ipad pro real soon and i think i will be taking notes a lot and do some drawings so apple pencil will be in use 80% of the time. What's your recommendation for a screen protector? Should i go for a matte one or a glass one? Or just use it without any additional protection?

If you have a flip cover, that should provide good protection for the front. Apple Pencil is not going to scratch the glass. Matte screen protector is alright if you use your iPad mostly at home. The anti-glare is quite bad when using the tablet outside. If you want to get matte screen protector, get SuperShieldz from Amazon which is cheap and good. I don't think there's a need for glass protector if you have a flip cover. Glass protector may affect Apple Pencil performance. Don't risk buying one to find out it does not work well with Apple Pencil like what's shown in this video.

I no longer use screen protectors. If you want to get one, it's between clear (retains image quality) and matte (tactile drawing experience but affects image quality)

Glass screen protector may interfere with pen performance. So perhaps matte is better. Get SuperShieldz screen protector which is cheap and good.

@@pulkitchaudhary4601 spigen is better, i already buy it., esr look cloudy when your finger wet/dirty, you need to clean up again and again just to get the nice look, spigen anti dust way better, you don't need to clean up using fiber cloth again, smoother and round edge look nicer
