Artist Talk: Dayanita Singh on Life, Photography, and Dreams of "Portable Museums"

If you have ever dreamed of curating your own personal museum, you'll likely appreciate artist Dayanita Singh's "Museum of Shedding." Here, the artist discusses how her upbringing influenced her unconventional approach to design and photography and offers insight into creating what she calls “photo-architecture.”
Singh is joined in conversation by Erin O’Toole, Baker Street Foundation Associate Curator of Photography at SFMOMA, who included Singh's work in "Off the Wall," a boundary-breaking exhibition on view through August 22, 2021.
