First I must say that you did a great job! I had questions... What was the material (paint) called that you sprayed on as the finish? And at what point were the actual speakers mounted inside? Are you able to gain access to them should down the road one of the speakers require to be re-coned etc. This design looks a lot like the design used for large venues back in the day. It was commonly referred to as a "W Bin." The design was created in the 70s. (same size as your cabinet). There would be a single JBL 18" sub inside. I dont have the model number for the speaker in front of me. But I can say in short that it has one of the best subs JBL offers. It actually feels like your being punched in the chest when their cranked up! Again you really do great work! I wish I had a shop like you have going on...

Nope Not a professional dual speaker box. the jack plate shows a "RCF C 5212" as a part number. The real RCF C5212 doesn't look anything like this and it is a full range cabinet, this is a band pass subwoofer. The plate also shows this as having a free field response of 65hz to 20kHz, again this is a subwoofer. SO this seems to be a home made box using a RCF jack plate. and it is not a particularly a good design at that. The "horn" on the front is useless and just taking up space, it is not large enough to give low frequencies any directionality. and its flare rate is too large to improve the port coupling. To it makes the box bigger and has no benefit. If it is meant to be portable the handle design is awful. I would hate to carry this box very far at all. I also like the fake textured paint made to look like the real durable coating the professional speaker manufacturers use. You put no drivers in it, and no wiring, so who knows how it will perform. Band pass speakers are designed for a drivers specific parameters. you cant just throw anything in there and expect it to work. To sum up...Nice woodworking. I'm glad no one lost a finger on camera. But "professional" loudspeaker...Not hardly.

@@trollasaurus269 Pretty much every company has on. They are all pretty good, NEXO, D&B, JBL L'Acoustics. If I were buying one today I would get the Clair Brothers CS-218.

@@kirbymurdstone4925 , only missing Meyer Sound. Between them, Claire Brothers, and L-Acoustics, you have the majority of real touring gear. You have others, like Dave Ratt’s stuff, which have their fans. And JBL, Peavey, and others that do more stationary club, church, and such. But you are quite correct. The driver should drive the box design. Oh yeah, and the king of old school woofers, Hartley. Humped a lot of those back in the day.

Ciao ottimo lavoro prima di tutto secondo dato che anche io sto iniziando a costruire il mio secondo impianto il primo non avevo seguito la goffratura la finitura tipo buccia d'arancio che io per le prime casse ho dato con il classico rullo per la buccia d'arancio Ma vedo che voi lo date con la pistola a spruzzo vi posso chiedere un consiglio tecnico in merito a che materiale utilizzate per ottenere questa finitura dato che il mio impianto è sempre in movimento la sovrapposizione e lo smontaggio continuo rovina la superficie Io per ora ho fatto come fate voi ho dato il primo strato con uno smalto all'acqua normale e il secondo strato con uno smalto molto più denso con il rullino con la spugna a bolle larghe tipo buccia d'arancio, Non è male il risultato però non è come la goffratura... Potreste consigliarmi un prodotto per ottenere questo risultato superficiale per rendere la parte esterna del cabinet più duratura agli sfregamenti durante le installazioni... ... Grazie mille della dritta e buon lavoro fate degli ottimi cabinet veramente complimenti... Io purtroppo non ho un pantografo CNC, mi sono costruito un piano sega circolare orientabile con il quale faccio tutto, Ed usa una fresa manuale, per praticare i buchi per gli speaker lo scasso per gli spinotti, e per le maniglie... ... Non mi posso lamentare del risultato però avendo un bel CNC a pantografo la velocità di esecuzione e la sicurezza di avere tutti i pezzi della stessa dimensione non sarebbe male... Demo vendere un'altra decina di impianti per potermene permettere una... Però nonostante la produzione con la sega circolare da banco autocostruita e la fresa manuale il risultato, funzionale ed estetico non manca non lo dico io ma lo dicono la gente che mi commissiona impianti e gli amici di questi ultimi che me ne chiedono altri quindi vuol dire che non lavoro poi così Male nonostante la finitura sia fatta con uno smalto satinato e il rullino per fare la buccia d'arancio nella parte esterna del cabinet la parte non esposta a sfregamenti do due strati di smalto satinato liscio...

That is the strangest box design I have ever seen! I have built a lot of bass cabinets in my day. I have also powered and tuned a lot of bass cabinets. I can’t imagine this is very efficient ? They certainly took a lot of care to reinforce the walls of the enclosure! Hearing and experiencing is believing. So at the moment I don’t believe. We CNC the plywood parts but not the mounting screw holes in the access panels? Argh...the paint job....Some parts could have been masked and painted before assembly. No T-Nuts to mount the drivers?
