How to simplify complex Buildings - Urban Sketching with Danny Hawk

In this Video, we will focus on the topics of light, contrast and depth and learn how to create these effects in architecture sketches using ink and watercolor.
Through two examples, you will learn which parts of a building to pay special attention to in order to give our sketches more contrast and depth, and how to classify shadows and light into different tonal values.

Hello, what type of eraser do you use? Erasers usually damage watercolor paper. / Hallo, welche Art von Radierer benutzt du? Radierer beschädigt in der Regel Aquarellpapier.

Hi, I got a question about the fountain pen with the water proof ink. How much time to dry the ink needs? I'm working on water color paper and have used several different types of ink and pen's for the line art, but it seems I always manage to make a mess. The ink gets mixed into the color.

You have to use a waterproof fine liner. Dries instantly, no mess.

Die Schwierigkeit, Gebäude in ihrer ganzen Höhe aufs Blatt zu bekommen, beginnt ja erst draußen ‘on location’. Gleiches gilt für die überwältigende Anzahl a Details, Linien, Winkel, Schatten usw. Ich sehe noch nicht, wo hier das ‘simplify’ beginnen und enden kann. Ansonsten sympathisches Video und tolle Sketches. Aber kann ich das auch?
