All great tips! I used to send out those big, complicated emails ages ago because the platform I was using then had set up the “pro” template that way and I thought filling it all in was what I was “supposed” to do to look professional. I switched email platforms and picked the simplest template. Now I feel I am complete when I use this simple form whereas before I felt compelled to use all the features of the complicated template. I save time for myself and time for my readers.

Do you recommend having a two-step opt-in where the subscriber needs to confirm they want your emails first? I hear that helps to have the right audience and the emails not going to spam.
