WOW!! I love Carabelle and I have the cute duckies in my stash, too. Surprised? Lol Nope! There are so many Carabelle products that I'd love to have, especially from my favorite, Birgit Koopsen! I just love the story you tell with these fun and whimsical items. Don'tyou just love those rag doll bunnies!? Oh my goodness! So much fun! Thank you for a breath of Spring! Muwah!

Good morning, Julia. Thank you for teaching the benefits of clear gesso. And I simply love love love that background. You did not cover the pages and the results are stunning. Your characters are just too darn cute! You put the cat next to the birdhouse, poor birdie. LOL. But I think the border of flowers and carrots is the nicest touch to finish the pages. Hello, Julia!!! SO, SO, CUTE!!! What an adorable multi-page spread!!!! I love the quirky style of Kate Crane for Carabelle Studios… I have several of her Texture Platea (Rubber Stamps) for use with the Gel Press although… it’s another area of interest that’s been very neglected. Those images you used are so adorable - perfect for a Spring layout. I love how you create interactive pages that carry the story of the layout across multiple surfaces. I love the softer yet vibrant shades you used to color your images. I’m glad to see you working in the 6x6 Kraft journal - another thing I haven’t started yet… 😵‍💫 However… I DID complete not only the remaining 2 collage layouts for YCS January but did all 6 of the layouts for February… I’ve been checking my mailbox daily for the March curated box of goodies to play with! I really enjoyed starting a new 8x8 journal for 2023 for the YCS collections and decided to not overthink what other artsy things I want to play with … my goal is/will be to enjoy whatever I’m creating with. Recent Purchases: Dylusions recent 4 colors of shimmer paints to add to her collection of paints; Tim Holtz Ideaology most of the paper products from latest release as well as Quote Chips, Word Tags, Large Fasteners, and those adorable tiny eggs although I’m hoping to color them as real bird eggs rather than for Easter… I also purchased some of the 49andMarket Tranquillity collection. I opted not to get the new Dina Wakley items although I will probably get the Neon Paints eventually since I have all her other paints even though I rarely use them… Future Purchases: Tim Holtz Ideaology Vignette Boxes 7”x10” and 2 of the 3”x10” (one for each side) as I have never done a 3D TH project! I love the new palette so I’m thinking of having a rainbow of color through it somehow although obviously with a vintage twist to it. The new Art by Marlene collection is available now but I haven’t finished picking and choosing which items to buy… especially since I have several collections of hers that I haven’t even used yet. We shall see… I’ve been doing quite well curtailing my spending in 2023 and I don’t want to start buying without thinking about it like I’ve done in the past… I’ll let you know what I end up buying. Take Care, Julia… I hadn’t realized the daylight/dark situation you experience. I live in New York State USA so although the daylight hours are shortened in the winter (December 20th is the shortest daylight day with daylight from about 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ?) and longer daylight in the summer (June 20 our longest daylight day with daylight from about 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM ?)… anyway… here, we adjust our clocks by 1 hour either ahead or behind to extend daylight to either morning or night… Spring Forward, Fall Back) Have a wonderful week… I’ll let you know what creative adventure I find for myself this weekend! 🙂💕

Hi Sue 👋♥️ I am so happy you are here as inspiering and uplifting as ever, thank you for taking the time to write to me ♥️ I am, still, strugeling a bit with my creating but I try to show myself grace and kindnes. Quiting Aall & Create was the right choice (because it added some stress that I could not handle at the time) but they have been clear that they would want me back when my life is less of a mess 😊 so Im trying to do what feels fun and inspiering. We also turne the clock back or forward depending on the season and I think we do it the same dates as you guys. For us it makes a big difference. For me Im waiting on warmer days because it usually makes my pain go down a bit and I feel like I have a life. LOL 😊 We do have full summer warmth from June to the end of August. The sun only goes down for an hour in the middle of summer. To many of us "Northeners" the combination of warm and dark evenings is something we only experience when traveling. Anyway I am so happy that you find a way to create without putting pressure on sertain things and I think its important not to feel guilty for not using all suplies. We have so much suplies so how could we use all of them 😊🎨 but as you (so wisely) wrote its important to buy what you really love and I think I'm getting better at that. I did buy the TH quote chips, backdrops, glitter paper, the Bunnies and the eggs. Your idea to make them in to regular eggs (not colorful easter eggs) is so great. Thank you for sharing that idea because I really dont know what to do with the eggs and Bunnies. I just loved them but might not use them untill next year. I will get a few of the Art By Marlene stampsets and right now I also like the Lavinia steampunk releas. But I don't have any ideas for them yet so I might hold of on that. I love reading about your projects and what journals you choose. Thank you for sharing with me ♥️ Right now In finishing a big Art By Marlene project with old stamps 😊 I really wanted to use them and now was the time 🥳 Now, more then ever I am thankful for friends like you and the inspiration and advice you give.
