I also love that you are celebrating your Mom-in-law and her new kitty. You are the sweetest! I absolutely love both of these. Dear Nancy ♥️ I am so happy you like these cards, I don't feel as confidente with cards as I do with my other, crazy, projects 😊 I am trying to help my mother in law in any way I can and I hope this cat can help with anxiety. I know my dog Boo always calms me down but more important she calms my boys down after a hard day. I am sorry I missed this video. Julia, this is one of the best cards I have seen from you. Your no line coloring was perfect on both papers. The leaves were the perfect touch. The snowflakes made that card look magical. The cats (on both cards) look like they are actually walking toward me. I can see movement. An artist makes art come alive and that is just what you did. I love them.

Hi Julia! It’s so good to hear your voice and watch you create these adorable cards. I love the large size of them! Many of us in the USA make equivalent of 1/4 page cards (4.25x5.5) which would be 1/2 the size of yours although I do enjoy creating them in between using the 5x7 size quite often. I’ve actually been thinking of creating some ‘Autumn’ cards and love the look of your leaves that you die cut from that inky background. I love the beautiful foliage displayed in the Fall although I always know that winter follows so I don’t enjoy them as much as I should / would. That happens where I live in the NorthEast USA late September through October… anyway… I enjoyed watching you color with Zig markers again. I finally pulled mine out the other day to check them out as I had seen a video where they had brought additional colors out - maybe last year??? So far, I’ve resisted the temptation to add more markers to the 80-color (previous full collection) set I currently have since I rarely use those. I’m attempting to be smarter with my shopping! However… I caught your excitement over the Distress Mica Stains so I added the collections from 2021 and the new 2023 to my 2022’s so my set of 36 colors is complete. I’m hoping to swatch the colors tomorrow as well as have an inky play with them. I also recently added the 8 pastel shades of TCW Stencil Butter and am going to swatch those this evening when I finish writing to you. I saw the new Beach theme colors are out now too - I can’t keep up! LOL … I also got a few POSCA paint pens which I used to love to play with and hope to again. POSCA released the smallest size in colors that I had larger sizes in as well as a couple new larger size colors. I have been thinking about starting a NEW Art Journal for a fresh start at playing with paints and mediums and not limit it to one designer’s items like I seem to be doing in recent years. (Dylusions, Art by Marlene, Vicky P/Stamperia, 49 & Market, YCS - all have there own journals so I create in those using only their products) I want a journal that has NO LIMITS! LOL 🤪 I’ve been doing a lot of organizing lately mostly of art supplies although I’m in the process of controlling my clothes as well… I have done a few pages in my 8x8 YCS collage journal but I’m still using MAY’s box! September box arrived already this week and it’s beautiful so I want to get caught up to be able to play with those gorgeous papers & goodies. I hadn’t been doing the smaller 3.5x5.5 collage since last year so I am challenging myself to do 1 every day during September… so far, so good… I went through my supplies and pulled some items to work with so everything fits in a letter-size zip pouch that sits on my kitchen table where I always am when I’m home. It’s going well… it doesn’t require much time and by limiting my resources, I’m not at all overwhelmed! YAY I guess I’ve babbled on long enough for today. I hope you are doing okay - no… doing WELL! I am so impressed that you are doing those smaller pages every day and such a clever way to remind yourself and limit the options. I understand what you mean with a limitless artjournal, I need both journals where I use a sertain brand and ones that have no rules 😊 It is always so fun to read what you are inspired by and what projects you hope you start. It is also important to remember that you always are allowed to change your mind because inspiration and creativity change a lot ower a season. At least for me 😊 Right now I struggle to know what products to choose because there is so much being released. I was going to treat myself to one stampset from Stamptember but I think there is enough to choose from here and no need to pay the high shipping. Right now I am working on a Tim Holtz/Sizzix home decor project for halloween but Im also inspired to make cards. Our paper sizes are different here but for a card I usually go for half of an A4, like these last two cards. I was going to make a slim line card but true to myself I wanted more room so it became that home decor project and a lot bigger 😊 I will try to follow your example with shoping because the truth is I can't afford everything I find inspiring. Dear friends ♥️ Have I ever said how much I love and aprichiate all three of you? 😊 Only about a million times but it is as true now as it ever was. Im quite low and in a dark place but your kindnes and positive words help a great deal ♥️ I also know that you know how it is to deal with pain and all that follows with that. It is a treasure to have friends like you ♥️ When we met you guys by the bridge it was amazing to see your little family enjoying the weather and each other 🌞 it was so uplifting. I am happy you call it my "command" of color because most of the time I call it "forcing the mediums to do what I want while swearing and threatening" 😊😅 As always we look forward to seeing you because our get togethers always give us energy and hope for human kind ♥️ Sending love and well wishes to you all and a big hug to your wonderful wife ♥️🤗♥️ I hope we will find time to do some crafting soon.
