I agree with the suggested use cases. The VO’s sound good but aren’t that flexible. They can work to get an idea together, maybe short commercila ads and for social media vids. But I think I’d have to go with a real voice when it comes to more serious projects.

I totally agree! It's a super handy tool, but it can't do everything perfect

Hey Thomas. Great stuff! I always have your opinion and reviews in very High regard when it comes to any equipment I'm considering getting. I saw that smallrig had recently launched a fan system that you can attach to the back of your camera, and I must say it's very tempting... Are you planing on reviewing it? If not do you think it's worth it? In the past I got a tripod from smallrig based on your recommendation which was great, and I've also had a great experience with their rigging gear, but since this is electronic gear I'm not too sure how it'll turn out. Thanks for the great content again!

Thank you so much for the kind words. It makes me happy to hear that you've liked the recommendations. Oh, I just looked up that cooling system from Smallrig, I'll see if I can get my hands on a unit for the X-T4. I've seen mixed reviews on these types of fans in the past. But I guess it might come down to different camera models and how the heat is distributed.

@@thomasfransson I'd love to see that and thank you for the elaborate answer. I'd like it for my canon r8 (I mainly shoot in a tropic area and the heat can sometimes be a problem....) Have a nice day Thomas!

Hi. Is there anyone who can say something about which languages the program contains? Are there multiple languages to choose from or is it only English? Thanks

Last time I checked - English, Spanish, German and French. There might be Portuguese too. Not sure about that one thou. My Portuguese is limited to 4-5 words :D

doesn't matter how "ethical" they're trying to be with this, ai voiceover generation is going to take jobs away from real voice over artists. its objectively unethical.

We'll probably hear more voice overs and higher quality text to speech voice overs on a lot of short and longer form (6-8 min) content like explainer videos on social media platforms and youtube as it's already there and have been used for years. And personally I've never liked that text to speech lady that sounds like she's either surprised or hiccups at the start of every sentence 😂 In this day and age with disposable content, turnaround times of a few hours - Where it's not even possible to find a vo artist, hire them, send the script. Have them record it and send delivering the recording for you to finish your edit... That's where I think we'll see these things used. And mainly by people who wouldn't hire vo-artists in the first place. But just like the drum machine took over or forced drummers to learn how to imitate drum machines for bands that couldn't afford to buy an expensive machine to get that popular sound at the time... Or the spinning jenny. New technology enters, finds its place and the world moves along.

@@thomasfransson seeing more AI voice overs in projects that wouldn't have hired VO artists in the first place does not mean that this won't be used in places where they otherwise would have used a real voice over artist. The people with the money who would otherwise hire a voice over artist are going to choose the cheaper option. This will take jobs away from real voice over artists, regardless of how many people use it that wouldn't have hired one to begin with because they are not the issue here.

Well, no latter what opinions people might have, the fact is that ai isn't going away any time soon. Some people will despise it, other embrace it and it’s unlikely that the two armies will agree as they don't see things the same way so arguing won't lead to anything but elevated blood pressure on both sides ;)
