Good to see you back. Thanks for checking my video. As you can see I am obsessed with this building too 😂 Every time I painted my little ring box model there were those few things I wished I did right. 😂 But when I worked on the first version I did not have 4k screenshots. Now I feel it is much closer to original untill I start scaling pictures to and put them together 😂 I fear if I do that, I will need v3 😂 I want to be able to build more new and one of the kind things and surprise myself and people.

I hope after 20 videos I will finally know what I am doing if I will last so long 😂😂😂 Filming slows my process and editing is another skill, but my goal is learn that as I learned building things on all my previous models.

I’m just going to say this. Will you attach balloons and if so, will you make it fly? Also, if you are I suggest put some type of string at the front water line that way it doesn’t fly away too far.
@themodelmaker2 ай бұрын
That is an option. I would probably need to reduce its weight maybe using lightweight pla and minimal outlines. But from my experimets with helium baloons, they did not lift too much weight. For the scale and reality sake would use waterbaloons and big number of them would also adds weight.

So Cool! I love model making, and you did a great job with the model and the video! If you used a resin printer, do you think you would have to sand as much?
@themodelmaker6 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes if printed with resin, sanding would only be required to create the wood texture so really fast. The printers on the market get bigger and cheaper so I could have one which would be able to print sharp model of this size but for now I only have limited space in my room and Anycubic Mono X is the one I own. Its bed size would be too small for floor section and I did not want to split it to too many pieces for durability reasons. This tunelled my vision and drive decision to use fdm technology. When I look at it now, I could fit parts of the roofs on mono x only and save so much time! But when doing it for the first time, you need to do some mistakes 😉 I also discovered polymaker terra PLA since then which sands so easily I will be using it in next projects and test it. Each project is like a course for me.
