This song doesn’t seem like a song that was made to be streamed. Its so weird to encounter a song like this in K-pop where the MV and the song really work together and add to each other to the point that they’re nearly inseparable. This was truly art for art‘s sake. It’s like this MV is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum from the usual K-pop MV that is just dance and glamor shots. This is the first time anything like this has ever been seen in K-pop and it just further proves how Loona are and have been pioneers their whole career. Their impact is so huge.

Yessssssss, the creepy LOONA vibes! One of my favorite things about the yyxy era, with love4eva, One&Only, and Egoist all having a *really* dark undertone. Which is kinda ironic considering none of yyxy are in ARTMS. But anyway, even predebut OEC had hints of that creepy undertone, and I'm really loving seeing them lean hard into it here.

okay so im someone who has never really gotten around to checking out loona but i saw the concept pics for this and they got me interested. now im here and omg. first of all the song is so unique for kpop and they sound hauntingly beautiful in it, i really love that. but the concept?? i had actual chills while watching the mv. the visuals really remind me of fantasy horror manga and i love those type of visuals SO MUCH. this is an artistic masterpiece

We saw the vision and they delivered beyond anything I thought possible. When that DnB beat came in, I literally screamed (into my cushion because it was 6:00am!). honestly i was one of them. i wanted distress to win and we're getting it as a b-side so i am happy enough. but i am so glad birth won in the end. i expected the song to go into a more billie eilish dark-pop route because of the "i can gather ex-bfs" part, but it was totally different, more experimental and slow paced so it has some of the elements i wanted from distress.

@@Vulpix298 modhaus, the artms agency has this voting system called gravity, where fans are able to vote for different topics, as for artms it has been songs mostly , we all had the chance to choose from 4 songs (Song A, B, C, D), the highest two ranking would make it to the album, first on ranking would get and MV (which is song D “Birth”) and second on ranking would go as a bside (which is Song A “Distress”), this has just been the latest gravity. Adding to that, TripleS, 24 member group is also under ModHaus and have the same voting system but has gotten further than songs… from picking members to go into sub units to voting which songs should be the TITTLE TRACK.

trust me, you can do that but this seems to be new lore about jinsoul being infected/corrupted, and the other girls slowly getting corrupted aswell and being put under hypnotization by a ‘virtual angel’ who we theories to be vivi but we aren’t sure if it’s her or artemis, so it isn’t connected to the boycott mvs at all 😅

Just in case anyone doesn’t know but this is not the title track but a B-Side and it’s the first premiere track, there is to be 4 premiere tracks in total(unsure if premiere tracks 2 to 4 will have an MV because unlike those ones “Birth” was voted by OURII to be the one to have a MV) with the title track “Virtual Angel” & the full length album “Dall” getting released on May 31st. Side note: For anyone curious the album will have 11 tracks! “Birth” is the 11th track on the album so I guess you could consider it to be the outro of the album!

I’m so glad it's the song that won in the vote, event though I voted for another one, this was my second choice, and my 1st choice is gonna be on the album still so it's a win! Concept wise, this is something Loona has never done so we're getting something new. They really killed it! And the MV is by Digipedi so the quality is really there. Absolutely loved the artworks, everything about it was eerie and creepy. Personally I love the song, I 100% understand what you're saying, the MV brings it to another level. The part on the second verse when the beat switches, best part of the song to me! We have 3 pre-releases to go before the title track! I don't think we'll be getting MVs for those though I might be wrong
