Great question! There are continual studies being done. Most studies are on red 630 nm. This addresses the superficial layers of the skin. Infra red 855 goes deeper into the skin and affects the deeper cells where melanin is formed. The combination is excellent. What you want to avoid is overheating the skin. Many masks get too hot. We use the LightStim because you only need to do each side of the face for three minutes and you can move the device around hold the device an inch off the skin to reduce heat heat build up.

Hi Jeana, the MBK Wave sounds very similar to the Le Mieux DermaRed I've been looking at, though the DermaRed is less than half the cost. Do you have any thoughts on that brand and product? Thank you!

Sure. I like a simple routine in the PM. As summer approaches, I am using Glymed Diamond Bright Serum under their retinol. It is a very brightening combo. The retinol that I loved all winter is the Is Clinical Retinol Emulsion 3I%. On nights that I don’t use retinol I like Botnia Hydrosol and Wisdom Oil. Best to use Adipeau on alternative nights than the tretinoin - or use Adipeau in the AM!

Yes. I use the TMP on the lowest setting to work the caviplla foam into the skin.
