How To Resin A Board Game Table

What would you seal it with?

You can use a sealer that works well with the materials in your project. For paper/cardboard a brush on sealer like Mod Podge works well, or you can use a spray sealer and apply a couple of thin coats for good coverage.

Hi Dan! I haven't tried to put sprinkles or candy into a resin piece yet. I have a question about the candy - have you ever had the color of candy or sprinkles bleed into the resin? Also, if I wanted to prevent the colors of the candy & sprinkles to not bleed, could you spray a coat of clear sealant on the candy before you put them into the resin?

Hi Dawn, its best to test the candy you choose to use first. Some candy can bleed- if this is the case you should apply a spray sealer first to prevent this. Have fun!

I would coat the whole table top with water based spray top (Krylon, Rustoleum) before resining. Eventually it will bleed and fade. Maybe a UV protecting coating.

We mounted our board game onto a table top from an Ikea table but you could mount it on a cradled wood canvas or any other table top that you wish to re-purpose for this project.
