For the skill section, I didn't explicitly say it, but I'm assuming double Castoria. That gets you 60% party charge and means each Castoria only needs 40% from something else like a CE. Also forgot to mention her Bond CE has party NP gain and attack. I don't know if I'd ever run it over an event CE or the other utility picks, but it's an option. Addendum (6/14/2023): With skill skip now on NA, Castoria's ascension no longer affects your farming speed. Use whichever one you want.

You don’t necessarily have to pop her 2nd skill on the dps. The np gain is party wide, so if your dps already has 20% from something (append, ce, battery) you can throw an extra 20% on one of the castorias to get the np if she lacks an append skill. It’s very flexible that way.

Summer Jeanne is one example of this - you can get off a Castoria NP first turn if you're willing to add more time to farming for practically no risk for failing a loop, considering how reliable the big sister is at looping even _before_ Castoria.

Thats 'cause you didnt saw the "Untouchables" composition: Merlin, Castoria, and one of three servants that have an special trait tied to their np: Overcharge for the whole party. Castoria can outrigth become Jeanne 2.0 with a spamming OC effect.

Not true immortal, because riders and berserkers that can crit hard will still eat through it if they buff enough due to no Def buff. Mash castoria merlin would work better, since it has 2 invuls, healing, and dual stack of def and taunt from mash.

@@darrenchiam2472 I think the TRUE immortal team is Castoria, Merlin, Himiko. Himiko's NP is basically the Overcharge Meta, a very rare meta where you can find out ludicrous effects you get when increasing overcharge to 4 or 5 constantly, not just for brief periods from skills of CE's. Merlin can be switched out with Tamamo for super high Np refund and skill recharge engine, but Merlin can make Himiko hit like a truck even more then she usually does, as well as provide invincibility for a rare turn where everyone isn't protected by Castoria Plus Merlin and Himiko can provide a large amount of stars together. In the rare case your fighting an Avenger, welfare BB and many other servants take Merlin or Tamamo's place so damage can be done, as Himiko can no longer waste away the enemy's HP. Now as for an UNCONDITIONAL immortal team, you will need Castoria, Himiko, and either Beni-Enma, Murasaki, or Semiramis. For fighting bosses with buff removal effects, the only weakness of Castoria's defense is removed by the former two's 3rd skill, or Semiramis' upgraded NP. Beni-Enma and Murasaki will naturally benefit from Castoria's arts buff, but Semiramis' actually has 3 arts cards despite being a buster assassin, since she was also summoned as a caster, so she will help with np refund often. Each is an odd pick, but getting no damage even with buff removers is no joke.

I honestly believe the strongest aspect of Castoria is that she yeets about 60% of Skadis off the friend lists. Even if you don't want to/can't run a Castoria based looping strategy, she can still work as a good old fashioned generic support like Waver, that charges up and improves the damage of two of your servants. Something that Skadi was completely trash at because the only thing she brought to the table as a generic support was the 50% charge to one target, and a defense debuff that can and will whiff half the time on exactly the targets you need it to land the most.

I had quick DPS farmers like Astolfo and a few AoE zerks, all now benched because no own Skadi (and no real quick supports other than her are in the game). Yeah I now farm with Vinci and SpIshtar but for people who don't have them, RIP farming caster nodes.

@@KasumiRINA People who don't have Castoria loopers specifically can still 3-turn farm the same way people 3 turn farmed in the 'stone age' before Skadi: 3 AoE servants with starting charge CE's and plugsuit/Arash. And Castoria is better than Waver (which is what we used at the time) at that type of tactic because of the slightly larger charge. If anything, Castoria's release helped those types of players, because Skadi was on 90% of support lists and she was dogshit at supporting a non-quick team.

Well that's the current status quo, that is until the recharge meta in JP where double koyan light and oberon make things braindead and you don't even have to care about class types anymore.

Arts supports were pretty good before Castoria already (Tamamo, Bride, Lanling, Paracelsus) and busters were okay (farming team with Arash, then main DPS with Merlin, Shakespeare and Chen buffing them was busted, hehe), quick always sucks because you don't have enough supports.

The "Jeanne replacement" thing is kind of funny to me because I've seen the light of the all-mighty stall comp that is Castoria, Jeanne, and Mash Orthenaus. It happened by complete accident in the fight against Wodime, but it was legitimately insane how many NPs I could get off with Castoria's skills, and the sheer ammount of defense from Mash and Jeanne was absurd, so much so that even the miniscule amount of healing from Jeanne's NP alone was more than enough to keep everyone alive. It's the same situation as with Tamamo, where calling her a "replacement" is the wrong way to look at entirely. Try putting them together and you'll see they compliment each other so well that you'd rather use Tamamo instead of a second Castoria in any fight longer than 3 turns.

Can only speak to my initial experiments using her in Shimousa (which turned out to be useful practice with how many story fights double Castoria isn't an option in), but yeah, rather than replacing anyone I'd agree it's more that she complements everyone else in a big way. I tend to run zerkers or whatever red button heavy hitter will get the job done, and having another 30 - 50% NP charger alongside my Waver meant I could run some meatier damage-boosting CE's on my dps, and the benefit of both targeted and party-wide invulns meant they stayed in the game longer than just whatever time Waver alone could buy with his NP and defense buff. Arts servants may be her best buds, but Buster and Quick also benefit plenty from having her around.

i just slapped a sakurascope on arash and then sieg released and farming became so much easier, but i still depended on waver supports to farm reliably. then last year on nerofest everything changed, got waver. then got tamamo during ROMA banner, then merlin on the last day of summer 4 rerun, now castoria with the 9th ticket (after the failure of 300 SQ). now that i wrote it down i realize it has been a weird year

She made me WORK to get her. 500 F2P quartz that I accumulated by completing each and every interlude and free quest I had available + anni rewards all down the toilet with nothing to show for it but a Napoleon spook and 2 or 3 SRs, but a lucky single pull brought her home. Thankfully NP2 Da Vinci came home MUCH easier, with 9 tickets So now it is time for Loops Galore, and mindless farming. Good luck to anyone still trying to get her, it ain't over till it's over! Now I must resist ALL the temptations between now and New Years for Muramasa (and hopefully snag a lucky NP2 as well)

Similar story, I used most of my SQ and all tickets for one Castoria and the leftover pulls got me NP3 Lolivinci and long-awaited NP2 for my most used character: Helena. And a few spooks. But first hundreds of quartz? Only copies of randoms I never use like Tamamo Cat, Beowulf etc.

Got space Ishtar on GSSR and Castoria after 46 tickets and 60 SQs. I was bummed at space Ishtar at first because I wanted Musashi but now I'm loving her. After holding back on rolling for so long I got rewarded and I have a lot left for Muramasa.

A really good team for challenging quests in Castoria/Himeko/Merlin. Himeko gives additional overcharge means Castoria's np can take multiple hits, up to 5 if you use all 3 nps the same turn. Merlin gives you healing and him + Himeko gives stars and crit damage when it's opportune to do so. It's an almost unkillable team. Hell, if you play it right, its rare if you even take damage. The only real weakness is that is loses to buff removal enemies.

She really is super effective and is a joy to use. Summer Melt has just been running over all her enemies and it’s great. For tougher fights of course have to make choices between Jeanne and Tamamo for filling in the few holes in Castoria’s excellent kit. But that’s about it. Amazing servant.

Before castoria, I've been running a Paracelsus, Asclepius, Tamamo Team with both Para's and Tamamo's Bond CE with a K-scope on my arts attacker. A very high investment team. And since castoria's release I can't stop giggling about a meme of one castoria saying to the other: Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power.

Thanks for mentioning Jeanne is still with a niche considering she still has applications in which Castoria can't shine, they both work extremely well together too, and people who once said she also outdoes Tamamo when that's not really the case either. In fact, if you're willing to be patient, all 3 of them are a disgusting comp for most serious non-Rider fights and supplement the other extremely well (alleviated further once Jeanne gets that coveted upgrade for her skill 2 for it to finally be a goddamn skill). In regards to Castoria herself she brings a new era to this game whether you get her or you use her from a friend's list, that 30% charge and 30% NP gain is a game changer for a lot of units and enables a lot of very F2P-friendly strats (and turns others into more F2P friendly ones as well), I'm very glad I got her for sure. As a little side note, charge appends being introduced this early means her 2nd skill gets a lot more diverse applications than having to beeline them to your main attacker, especially if they already also own a precharge, so there's that nice benefit for NA having introduced some features a lot earlier than anticipated.

I swapped my Skadi to ALL, from Caster on Support 1. This way, people can do Quick looping or Arts looping at their liking if needed.

Alternatively: Slap a 2030 on her and pair her with Himiko. You get the same result and crits for days on top of it. Definitely my favorite support core in the game.

@ The beauty of that combo is that you can use it with just about any buster or arts DPS. And if push comes to shove Himiko can also just kick the enemies' teeth in with her own crits.

Poor Skadoodle was just a very big bandaid for the problems quick has. Entire combat system needs an overhaul but we're far too along for that ever to happen. I'm half expecting JP to give Skadi some crazy strengthening this year or a new Mystic Code that passively buffs quick in some way. It's pretty much next to dead with how strong Castoria is and then you add in Vitch for buster and Oberon for near universal and Skadi just can't really keep quick up to par with the others. Ice mom needs a hug.

I am trying double Castoria with my Summer Musashi NP2. First, I coul loop with Tamamo support, Waver and Paracelsus, but isn't 100 reliable. Now, I am Literally scared how easy I could loop in almost all situation. And I tried also the GongSystem with her, 800.000 damage with no problems.

Looping aside, her party wide 30% NP charge can make the classic 3T farming (DPS 1 - DPS 2 - Arash - NP charger) FAR better and accessible for F2P. You can now just use MLB Imaginary Element instead Kaleidoscope! Not everyone has Kaleidoscope (especially new players). Of course you can still use Waver or other's 20% party charge if you unlock the starting NP append skill. But why bother to do that if you can borrow a Castoria for NP charger? This will also make your team cost cheaper and you can bring more bond bonus CE or QP bonus CE for farming. Or you can simply bring more expensive servants for bond farming

question: Is it worth it rolling for np5 castoria? I happen to be at np3 which seems to be basically the peak. The main reason I wouldn't roll would be to roll for the summer servants or da vinci rider. The main thing is that with 2 more levels, I would just get 5% more attack. To clarify though, the main reason to roll would be for the servant coins, presumably for level 120.

well unless this year's anniversary on JP counters what you just said about quick supports, things only get worse as skadi only ends up getting a give the party an attack buff with her NP like castoria does but the difference is castoria can loop her NP very quickly to spam it while skadi lacks the means to do so. then there's the fact on next year's anniversary and new years we get the 2 halves of koyanskaya who basically more or less make Merlin the more go to option in how your buster teams can do not only more damage but also somehow in still an unexplained way allow buster focused servants to NP loop. again I'm not sure how that works outside of does it give them such high NP gain rates that it's basically like summer nobu doing that only on steroids. so yeah while not quite dead as quick teams still have great uses such as star gen, the quick meta is gonna take a massive fall for awhile unless as I mentioned this year's anniversary servant puts them back on top or on equal footing where all 3 metas have their ups and downs though technically I still say buster still wins not cause of damage but because unlike skadi and tamamo, Merlin came out and has yet to get a skill or np upgrade where no he doesn't need to do 50% charging as his focus similar to tamamo is making sure you DPS is gonna do big boy damage.

got her without wasting all my SQ, it wasnt much SQ to begin with only the ones we got from anni 5 and a few i had saved for a month, but i still managed to get her at np2 withot even wasting half of the SQ, gonna save and drop probable a multi or 2 for kama just to have an assasin with batery 50% and then save all the way up to muramasa. i can finally put to rest my skadi and valkyrs from farming, but skadi will still be left on my support list on the all class slot.

have NP2 castoria on JP and usually runs tamamo - dual castoria with 4-sometime-5 star arts DPS. and of course, my farms is practically braindead. cast all skill, repeat hit blue round blue rectangle 3 times. i'd call 'extremely worth it' if i were not on the endgame level. then i got NP4 percival couple weeks ago and honestly, looking at 120-170% refund is hilarious.
