I don't know, I have questions... The foundation looks super cheesy. Log rounds set in mud? Not even excavated ground but just set on top? That's it? The cabin is point blank on that little creek. What happens when it rains hard and it rises? The whole location is mud. The roof joists couldn't be more minimal. Why? Add a few more of a somewhat larger dimension. The frame for the hinged window/wall looks very flimsy indeed. Keeping into account the desire to keep it light, a few dimension elements like a triangle or two would give some integrity to it. I'm a little perplexed as they used some pretty good materials like the thick tongue and groove, painted everything with what appears to be linseed oil or similar, had some good design elements, but built everything on stumps in the mud that will rot and settle, betraying the structure.

If you check the original channel you will see that this A-frame was later burnt to the ground by local forest poachers, and the only thing that appeared to stay untouched after the fire are these log rounds, such an irony.

You guys certainly did things the hard way. And the design, inside and out was off. I think you definitely worked hard but it just didn’t make sense. 1. The stove next to the door 2. The fiberglass door/window that was very flimsy and unstable 3. The placement of the beds. Should have been bunk beds on one side 4. The high ceiling space not being used, so why have it 5. Putting on plank siding row by row just to hide with roofing material. You could have just used slabs of plywood 6. Built on an obvious flood zone river bed

Nah, this was definitely filmed just for views. They never had any plans to do anything with this build, and from what others are saying this thing burned down already (likely from the wood stove they put inside of it with no hearth or anything to protect the wood from the heat of the stove).

Overall, I'm not impressed. It's built in a very risky location (a flood way). The foundations are inadequate. The floor frame is too flimsy. No insulation in the floor. No insulation in the walls/roofing. That PVC window will rattle like crazy in high winds. The stove is right next to the door. Inadequate protection between the stove and the floor. This place looks like it will fall to the ground after the first decent gale force storm or blizzard.

COOL but wait first.... how could u trust just 4 sticks of wood to hold and provide the whole weight of that fantastic shelter...very risky foundation. Second, I would have placed in general all the wood sticks further the water...not so close damnnn, very high risk of getting rot or to sink in the future. Third I would have left the internal design of that awesome shelter in wood, just natural with the indispensables things and so I wouldn't have put all that stuff, but that's about tastes. So overall I'll give u a 9. Very great!

nice work, just too close to the creek. if that thing floods your screwed. the banks of the creek could erode, the wood will rot and the foundation will become unstable which will cause damage to structure. not a good idea to be that close. if your going to build that close you need stumps that go deep into the ground and the hut itself should be higher up incase of flooding. also that wood doesn't look like it's treated for water damage so your gonna get mold.
