As someone who is still fairly new to this hobby, I guess you could say that I can be easily excited when something comes along that surprises me (in a good way). The Artti T10 did more than that. It literally broke my idea of what a "great" set of earphones should look like, feel like, COST, and most of all SOUND like. Because these sound like they cost about $500 or more. I'm not just saying that. Its a SINGLE 14.2mm planar magnetic driver. Thats it. But it Sounds like a TOTL Dynamic and a TOTL Planar had a child. And that child was the Chosen One. Freaking magic IRL.
Metal rating 9/10!!!

So the Binary x Gizaudio Chopin is basically the Quintet with more bass. And it’s got a bit more energy and it is easier to drive. And listen, I love the T10, but I also realize that it’s not going to resonate with everyone the way it did with me. It’s not a bad price to take a flyer on though. You’ve got a difficult choice as there is not a bad iem on your list. Still, performance and enjoyment-wise (not including the Quintet), the Chopin and T10 are my top 2. And of my 40 or so IEMs, they ARE my top 2.

Nice! Glad to hear it! These literally sound like a DD/Planar hybrid. I’m mean the quality and quantity of the low frequencies is just crazy to me, you combine it with the clean, clear, present mids and treble to die for… I’m just stunned. Went to bed listening to them. Woke up an hour early so I could listen to them before I got my kiddo up for school. About to do my taxes with them… I can’t stop. lol. Ain’t this hobby Grand?!?!? After listening to the T10's and commenting on them (read my previous comment i wrote about an hour before this one) I re listened to your review. I have never agreed so much (100 %) with a review like the one you did. I've never been sold on an iem like you did to me with the T10's. When I was re listening to the review i kept asking myself if that was me speaking or you because thats exactly what I would have said. Other reviewers talking the way you did would have me wondering what they'd been smoking. That review you did , to me , is the greatest review of all time. 100 % right on. Will I ever be able to listen again with my other iems ? I'm a subscriber. Thank You !

These also broke me. I had the Artti R1 and was very impressed so I ordered the T10 and am absolutely blown away. They are outresolving some very expensive headphones and amps (ribbons, planars, electrostats, NOS valves etc) and I am hearing things that I have not heard before. I've been headphone obsessive for nearly 40 years. Genuinely staggered by their performance. They aren't perfect but they are quite close. The bass punch makes me go woah every time. Foam tips work best for me. To my ears they have nice balance, separation, tonality, stage and punch. Can only fault them on looking like hearing aids and breaking the market. Artti for president

They are my benchmark set. Everything that I review now gets at least a quick comp with them. That does not mean I always put that in my review. The whole apples to oranges thing and such. But for overall performance they are always on my mind. And more preferably, in my ears. Glad you are enjoying them so much!

Same experience. I bought them out of curiosity expecting nothing much as the cheapest planars I knew out there, and was already impressed by the ea500lm which I thought would be my end game (after upgrading from EW200 which I thought nothing could beat) and at first the T10 was like sibilant (because it's brighter in comparison) but after a few days and I keep comparing all of them, the t10 are just unbelievable! I can't even enjoy the Simgots anymore. So the T10 progressed into my favorite for classical music as their brightness and clarity, open air, details override my initial treble sensitivity. The LM was still crazy fun for progressive metal and movies. Then each time the T10 it's taking over like a virus lol, it's just getting better and better and better! I notice the lack of balance of the LM now which has great bass for movies, but when compared they lack clarity and the high end is missing like a high dent in the frequency. The T10 it's hay a delight once you get used to it, and gets addictive. It can still get exhausting for me after a while but then I switch for a bit and back, no regrets.

@@BassDad8oh I'm gonna look for your plannar video! By the way I recently got the mp145 and although the bass/sub-bass is out of this world and much much better, deeper, it also comes with a frequent sibilance or harshness in some notes. The T10 bass is very good but pales in comparison, but I still prefer it because it has such a perfectly balanced tuning that it doesn't have any of the treble issues the MP145 has. So it's much more natural and laid back for long sessions

I'm definitely buying these T10s, but I'm not sure if the Fiio Q3 DAC is worth the extra cost since it's double the cost of the IEMs themselves. I'll mostly be listening on my Pixel 7 or laptop, so I need a portable DAC. Are there any cheaper portable DACs that work with my phone, or is the Q3 the best option?

The Artti has some serious chops and it definitely sounds more like a DD in the lower frequencies. For me it has a more natural tonality than the LM. I’d take the T10 all day over the Simgot. Hey man so after receiving an empty package and then going with Aliexpress directly, I've got these bad boys. I'm comparing them to my Mega5P's, another obscure chifi thing and they're quite close in many ways despite being far off in price. I just wanted to pick your brain on EQing: what do you think remains after we EQ sets to a particular target, like Harman '19? So in terms of frequency response, barring errors or inaccuracy with coupler or unit variation or whatever, are we left with technicalities? Or the inherent characteristics of the set, how "well" it responds to eq, etc.
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 Ай бұрын
@@aagm. so I think your last statement is probably the closest to the way I view EQ in general. The set has to respond to it in a positive way. I’m not one who believes you can make any $20 set sound like a $500 set, but I do believe it can be useful. Techs aside, if it works, it works. If not, you’ll know. Honestly I barely ever EQ. Besides tip rolling and nozzles/filters, but that’s analog. So I think I need to play around with it more. I have EQ APO and the Peace UI, so I just have to get over the “I don’t EQ anything” stupidity.
@aagm.
@aagm. Ай бұрын
@@BassDad8 it's a trip EQing two good IEMs to the same target, in my case harman, and A/Bing, makes you really think about what you're paying for after you reach preference. The weird part is of course relying on squiglink and presuming the coupler results are right, etc. but it's totally serviceable At first I used oratory1990 etc stuff off reddit with peace/apo on the desktop then poweramp equalizer for mobile (tried a couple diff apps there) but yeah I find the set on squig, pull up their equalizer, autoeq the preferred target on the very right then copy all the bands manually to poweramp On one hand yeah you're neutering the unique frequency response of a set (arguable) but on the other you're smoothening out areas that are too much of too little etc Lemme kno how u go

@BassDad8
@BassDad8 2 ай бұрын

Question about the source for these. I'm using the fiio KA11 to drive these (240 mW unbalanced). Do you think I'd benefit at all by going balanced (500mW+)or am I pushing these enough as is on 3.5?
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 3 ай бұрын
I am pretty much using balanced cables on everything. So of course my answer is going to be yes. But, they’re not super power hungry. A little higher impedance and lower sensitivity than most of my sets. I did try them recently with the Kiwi Ears Allegro at 150mW in the balanced connection. They seemed absolutely fine to me. Then I cable swapped to a 3.5 and the 70mW still seemed reasonably good. But I do feel like higher power makes them more dynamic. By degrees. That’s a tough call. You can get a good cable for $15-20, though. I’d grab a Zonie and give it a shot. It definitely won’t hurt anything.

Hey there. Since I don’t have and have not heard the pla13 all I can go on is specs and release date. With the T10 being a full mm larger driver in diameter, that should equate to more low frequency preference. I can tell you that the T10 has very tactile bass with excellent impact. That might be the biggest difference, but the T10 is also a highly resolving set with excellent treble energy and detail retrieval. But again, without hearing the pka13, I cannot speak to its performance. Lastly, I think you would safely expect to experience an upgrade overall. The new gen 14.2mm planars are excellent and can be found in more expensive sets like the Tigerism Helianthus at $500! The T10 is a very safe bet. I wouldn’t hesitate to try it out. ☮️

Ok... You have my interest. For real these are better than R3 (because I was looking at this or Dunu Falcon Ultra) and great for EDM and Rock? Because I have that bias thinking I need a DD. Am I wrong? Yep my owners.

How would these compare to the kiwi ears quintet?

I will a/b them today. The first thing that came to mind was note weight and lushness. The T10 has more… But I’ll confirm that later for you
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 4 ай бұрын
Two things tonote as I am a/b ing them right now. One, the Quintet is a fantastic set. 2. The Artti is just as good, if not better (for me anyway), due to its overall presentation being more full and satisfying. But that is personal preference. Thank you for the question. It reaffirmed by belief in the overall quality of the T10, but also reminded me of how amazing of a set the Quintet is as well. Pound for Pound the T10 wins at $70 vs $220, but I cannot say one negative thing about the quintet. PSA - you definitely will need to turn the Artti up about 10% more than the Quintet to achieve the same volume output. It is a less sensitive iem, but when it gets cranking, it is fantastic.

It’s a toss up. Both are very technically proficient, but the way they present it makes it difficult to say one is a clear winner. This isn’t an apples to apples comparison, rather think of the Nova as the Apple and the T10 as a perfectly ripe mango. It’s lush and a little wet in comparison to the crisper Nova. I enjoy the T10s presentation a bit more, but if you want something just a shade more clinical, it’s the Nova. Hope that helps.☮️

artti t10 vs simgot 500lm which should i get?
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 4 ай бұрын
Oh God. I don’t know. I love the original ea500. But for me the Artti is better. Everyone seems to love the LM though. And Simgot has been on a roll. The safer choice is the LM. I really want to say get the T10, but facts are facts. The LM has way more reviwers behind it than one crazy old metal head. ☮️

Been A/B ing the ea500 and T10 and it’s not even close. The T10 is actually better at being a single DD than the EA500. And it’s got all the planar goodies on top of it. I could be totally wrong here, but I just don’t see the LM making up the gap. It’s too wide. That’s how freaking good the T10 is…

Am I missing something? I'm not liking mine, I feel like they don't stand out at all, I don't know if I need more amplification :(
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 3 ай бұрын
So the short answer is yes. You probably need more amplification… but that alone may not “fix” them for you. I had the same problem with the Juzear Clear. Everyone seemed to really like them. Called them “bass canons”. I did not experience that at all! Ended up giving them away to someone who is really enjoying them now. They were a miss for me. The T10 might just be a miss for you. But give them a chance please. Try different tips, a different Dac or amp or combo if you can. Maybe a different cable. Try anything you can in your chain without dumping a bunch of money into it. These are $70 IEMs when they aren’t on sale, and they usually are. If I may ask, what are you using for amplification? Have you tried any other tips than stock? And do you have a cable handy to swap out? I’d like to help, if I can…

Being that I have not heard the 7Hz Dioko, I can’t give you an informed answer. My understanding is that the Dioko has a different tuning style that not everyone liked. The T10 is pretty much universally liked, so I’d say it’s definitely the safer of the two choices. Every time I go back to it, I’m impressed. Just remember that it likes a little power and it’s not afraid to be turned up. Let me know how it goes! ☮️

@BassDad8
@BassDad8 Ай бұрын
Two different animals. From top to bottom the Artti is just yummy goodness, but you need power to experience it at its best. The LM has more thump in the mid bass and more energy in the ear gain and treble, but is easier to drive. Depends on what you like and what you have for a source. The T10 is a HOF iem. It doesn’t matter that it’s a planar driver. It transcends that. The LM may be one of the best single DDs I’ve heard under $150. It depends on what you’re after.
@gamingxcapsule
@gamingxcapsule Ай бұрын
@BassDad8 I basically listen to pop songs and sometimes vocal-oriented songs. Also, I like bass-not that boomy and muddy, but I need that bass to be accurate, punchy, and tight. (Treble must have sparkle.) For that, which should I pick? It doesn't matter if it's planar or DD. So, if you were to blindly suggest the best one, which one would be your first choice? ( I'll run it through Shanling UA4 Dongle)
@BassDad8
@BassDad8 Ай бұрын
@@gamingxcapsule to be safe, I’d go with the EA500LM. You’d really need to use the balanced 2.5mm out and high gain to get the T10 to close to its potential. It’s only got 96dB of sensitivity. The LM will be easier to drive and should have both the bass impact and treble sparkle you are after. I love the T10, but I’m afraid in your use-case scenario, you will be disappointed. It’s really laid back until you hit about 400mW of power. Please let me know how it goes! ☮️

There are a lot of Hexa fans out there. I’ve never tried it. Probably should. I’m always going to recommend the T10, but it is a little harder to drive than most sub $100 sets. So power or volume or both are going to give you the best experience. If you have a source, other than just a phone or tablet, you will be fine. If not, the Hexa might be the safer choice.
