Beterbiev vs Bivol is wild, their styles are polar opposites - Bivol plays such a deadly outside game but Beterbiev's inside boxing looks fucking vile. Whoever can adjust enough to make their own game the leading one in the fight is gonna come out on top but my gosh, I'm so excited to see it! I hope it's closer than Crawford-Spence was in the end.

I hold my hands up. I was one of the ones who thought Smith would get it. Just felt that with Beterbiev's age, he was due a performance where he'd age overnight and that Callum had looked very powerful at 175, but yea, I got it massively wrong. Beterbiev seems to somehow still be in his prime, what a fighter. Can't wait for the Bivol fight.

His power isn't unexplainable at all. He has powerful dense muscles filled with the brim with fast twitch fibers. Which explains his power. But if you watch how he trains, he trains for endurance as well. So not only does he hit harder then anyone, he has the endurance to do it all night long without losing power. you are fully right, Beterbiev is also a good boxer, and he did set up his shots very well, always does. But in this fight, the physicality made really a big impact. Callum had good, fluid combinations, and landed some shots, but just couldnt impress Beterbiev. Beterbiev on the other hand, whenever he had success, you could see Callum crumble a bit right away. To the weight discussion. Beterbiev said multiple times, that since his amateur days he is still walking and fighting around 83 Kilos. I think Beterbiev is what Deontay Wilder could have been, inhumane power combined with the boxing skills to really make the power shine, whereas Wilder neglected it at a certain point.

And Canelo definitely made the right choice about no longer considering testing himself against Beterbiev and going for Dimitri Bivol instead, (he was contemplating this with Bob Arum back in 2021), he would've got beat up and stopped just the same as everyone else who tried before him. Dimitri Bivol will need all his speed, stamina, movement and high punch output over 12 rounds to not get caught and trapped on the ropes, to pull off the victory against Artur Beterbiev and become the undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion of the world. It'll be a great clash of styles when the fight happens in Saudi Arabia later this year.

Yvon Michel, one of his past promoters, was in his office one day and he heard loud thuds under the floor, not know what it was. He go there and saw Beterbiev on the punching bag and he confessed that he had never seen or heard any boxer punching so hard on it. Amazing that he's so consistent in terms of power at his age, but since Hopkins, I'm not that surprised. He's a UFO and might remain so, though. We've never seen someone like Hopkins, Tyson or Ali after their retirement and it will be the same kind of story with Beterbiev. The best part for me is finding out that he stays consistent in his trainings and never understimates anyone. He's at the top of his game. That's discipline!! He's the real deal... I heard that Fury trained for 2-3 weeks before his last fight. If it was his choice, to me it's disrespect for the fans, the sport and the opponent. My man you don't want to ask the sheikh about Beterbiev fighting in March unless it's before March 10th. That's the beginning of Ramadan and it goes all the way till April 9th. There's no way that fight can occur with Bivol until the Summer or later. Also I did hear a bunch of British boxing media types calling for the Smith upset and they had really talked themselves into it. I also saw Artur as a bigger Canelo and didn't think that would work out really well for Smith. I called for a 9th round KO so I was pretty close

As much as I am looking forward to the Bivol fight, I would also love to see if Canelo has cahones to take on this monster. Moving up and taking on Bivol was one thing, a bigger taller skilled boxing champion, maybe risking getting out scored and losing a decision, but with Beterbiev he risks getting broken down and knocked out. I said it before the fight and I'll say it again now: Callum Smith was always tailor-made for Beterbiev. This was never going to be anything other than brutal murder unless Beterbiev had aged out overnight. Bivol is different gravy. Levels above Smith, and frankly I'd expect Bivol to absolutely dominate Smith as well, in similar fashion to the Zurdo fight. Better is fantastic, but I think Bivol is getting him at the right time. Beterbiev peaked around the time he turned Gvozdyk inside out. Bivol is peaking now. I think he has the beatings of him, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say I suspect he'll make it look a lot easier than one might anticipate. I think his speed, accuracy and iron discipline will do it. Beterbiev is just that bit too slow, and I've got a feeling that Bivol's rapid combinations could be enough to get him constantly resetting and not throwing or landing as much. We'll see. I wish it had happened a few years ago.

I'm a Smith fan and tbh I felt this coming, I don't think it's physically possible for anyone to best Beterbiev with 18 months of inactivity. Artur Beterbiev backing up Callum Smith in round 1 was a preview to what was coming , but in🥊Round 3🥊 Smith had his revelation moment and saw clearly why he was going to lose this fight...he felt he was doing ok until the 3rd, and you could see the 19-0 light was brightly on in his head and him seeing that number 19 was slowly but surely changing into number 20 before his eyes. Callum was fighting at 100%/Flat Out/in 6th Gear,....under heavy stress mentally and physically from the 3rd onwards, whereas Artur Beterbiev was calm, relaxed and chugging along in 2nd. Every time Callum hit Artur flush (which wasn't that often at all because Beterbiev's defence was great) there was no, fear, no distress, no panic and no shook up from Beterbiev....the exact opposite was happening to Callum when he got repeatedly caught flush, you could see the dismantling of Smith in slow motion, every round from the 3rd he was desperate and Buddy and the rest of the team could see what was happening, but couldn't do a thing to halt the inevitable. Respect to Callum Smith giving everything he had trying to win, but he was made to fight that way, but unfortunately for him it was never going to be enough. 💥Artur 'The Beast' Beterbiev 👑 20-0 with 20 KO's💥 Beterbiev cruised through this fight and now we need to see the undisputed with Dimitri Bivol. Bivol will be hard to catch up with but he just doesn't have the power to seriously hurt Beterbiev to stop him or deter him. Bivol is an excellent boxer with stamina for days and great footwork movement and a very high punch output.... he's going to need all that for every round to avoid getting caught on the ropes and battered. The question is can he keep his distance and pepper and frustrate Beterbiev to a 12 round majority points decision? Or will Beterbiev do what nobody else has been able to do and catch up with Bivol and stop him in his tracks for a 21-0 victory? Hopefully we'll get to see the ongoing debate for who is truly the best Light Heavyweight Champion finally settled later this year. And Beterbiev should definitely be considered a P4P great now
