Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, WBC/WBO/IBF light heavyweight king Artur Beterbiev now has a date to defend his crown. After recent dental surgery forced Beterbiev to postpone his Aug. 19 title defense against former world champion Callum Smith, the two will now meet Saturday, Jan. 13 at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada.
Beterbiev vs Smith and the co-feature will be televised live on ESPN. Undercard action will stream exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+.

99% he just likes to take his time for the first few rounds. I think he could take out the entire division within 3 rounds if he wanted to go hard off the bat. He's more calculated than that. We shall see with Bivol. I have my money on this machine though. Scary MF

Beterbiev has so much more to offer than power. His punch selection and his timing is superb. I think he beats Smith, then when he fights Bivol it'll be an unexpected dominant performance rather than just a brutal KO.

@@rekanpayne6606 don't really apply here tho. Bivol fought hard against Smith but Smith and Beterbiev are almost identica fighters. Both punchers with heavy pressure. So if Smith's style presented a problem for Bivol, why won't Artur's be the same when Artur And Smith are pretty identical stylistically?

Machine, great balance, technique, ring IQ, sharp combo's, right followed by left uppercut to finish. Poetry in motion. Beterbiev boxing skills are somewhat overlooked in paet due to his destructive power. He is an exceptionally skilled operator. Smith is getting battered life a chip shop Haddock.

@@justinyang6675 I would have agreed with you until recently - I had AB as a simple beast of a puncher, but I see now he has a lot more than that. My style preference favours DB but who actually wins? Can AB maintain his strength till the last rounds if DB succeeds in keeping away and weakening him? I have no idea! Joe Smith was not a good measure, having little distance control and no defence - tells me nothing.

​@@davidrees7978 I never liked DB but when he beat one of my favorite Mexican boxer Canelo......yea I study DB and he's no joke. Yea AB got the beast punching ability but he's too basic. DB can move and fight in different angles. DB has good straights which he likes to throw more from range.That will counter ABs hooks and in late rounds I feel that will slowly break down AB. Plus DB defense is pretty good. For a guy in that size? He got light feet. He's always on his toes hopping in/out rhythm changing and using feints. I believe he will be the one to defeat AB.
