Great breakdown, people forget how high Beterbievs power connect rate is, 14 to Bivols 7, even Canelos power punch connect rate is only slightly higher at 14.7 not that I’m comparing the two as they are different weight divisions. If Beterbievs knee is even 90% I still think he breaks Bivol down and stop’s Bivol late but you just never know..

Very interesting and thorough analysis of yours! Given the very unique arsenals the two have and the strategies that can be implemented, as it was discussed at length on many boxing channels, I think strategically this conundrum boils down to this question: Will Bivol be able to control the CENTER OF THE RING AND THE DISTANCE and will he have "ENOUGH POWER" to deter Arthur from "walking him down", keeping him off and preventing his relentless attack? If Dmitry has these two , then it would pave the way to a STRONG victory; Otherwise, if the fight takes place for long periods against the ropes or if Dmitry's power has no effect on Arthur (which I don't think it's the case), then it would be a very long night for Dmitry. . or short...) I tend to think that Bivol DOES HAVE enough power, as stated by sparring partners who trained and others who fought him, not great power but ENOUGH to keep opponents at bay, wary of Dmitry's counterattacks, and Let's remember that he has never been knocked down in his career, while Arthur has. I WOULD NOT at all rule out the possibility that Dmitry were the one who drops Arthur at some point if he takes chances at the end of the fight, should he go too far behind on the scorecards... (although it could also be him who managed to land hard on Dmitry, of course). Let's remember that "most of the time" the tools that Dmitry has surpass those that Arthur possesses, but not always, and since those tools are somehow VERY UNIQUE and they are developed to such a high level, anything can happen. However, the FOOTWORK (an in and out movement jumoing on his toes very UNIQUE in Dmitry) in synch with a great HAND SPEED, a RANGE CONTROL AND PACE of the fight, coupled with GREAT CARDIO without decreasing his activity at the end of the fight and a MENTAL/EMOTIONAL FORTITUDE to STICK TO HIS GAME PLAN, THEY ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO BEAT!!! ALL of these attributes have been proven by Bivol. Will he have them against a skilled boxer on his own game who has perhaps the most sustained and relentless attack in boxing today...? We'll see... Finally, I would say that whoever wins (if he does so clearly and indisputably) would have a strong case to be considered perhaps the MOST DOMINANT BOXER today in all weight classes (along with Inoue). I don't say BETTER, I don't like to use that concept in boxers because that concept is general and encompasses many others that are specific (Offense, Defense, Heart, Skills, Dominance, etc.) but specifically I use "DOMINANT" (without serious challenges in their division and without controversial decisions in his favor). As always, I never make predictions because ANYTHING can happen, especially in this fight that is so evenly matched on paper, given their respective arsenals, already well proven. Let's enjoy this sport at ITS BEST! Salute!

@@WhatsGoodWoog I have Fulton. I think he learnt from the 1st fight back with Bozy as his trainer now and he got the ring rust off. He looked nervous against Castro. I think it was the pressure to perform and built up anger from how he was treated after his loss. Media and fans were harsh on him, so he was looking to prove a point by a ko. Kept on doing the looping shots. He looks to have a bit more more and speed now too. Just need a bit more defence and hope he studies film on Figueroa. Good to see him back in the ring so fast.

I’m not done with the video but I’ve been thinking this exact thing! And yeah Beterbiev can still punch well off the ropes, but bivol takes no unnecessary risks even when he has your back to the ropes. He gets his shots in and steps back before you can even counter.

I've long seen Bivol winning this. I think just has too many tools, it makes it hard for his opponents to really corner him. Beterbiev's power and resolve can certainly can be an issue so I wouldn't be totally surprised if Beterbiev won but I'm sticking with Bivol.

I'm a boxing casual (more of a UFC fan) and did a little bit of research on both fighters. What you're saying could happen obviously,, But I think there's a 65%/70% chance of bivol being stopped, might put 10 on it If the " bet line" is good. I think beterbiev , will absolute dominate the last half the fight, if he doesn't finish him , he'll at least drop him. So definitely got Beterbiev because I don't think bivol has ever fought anyone close to him. About the injury,, I think beterbiev is just a beast of a man and probably got some extra supplements to heal up faster on top of him naturally healing fast.

At min 8 and I stopped because you keep saying Bivol will come forward. What will happen when Beterbiev also comes forward? Because Beterbiev comes forward even more. When you say Bivol will come forward you mean he can somehow magically push Beterbiev back? I would like to know how - through want means? Not even Usyk was able to push Beerbiev back. You cant even push Beterbiev back if you lean against him. Gvoznic tried to hit Beterbiev in the guard to stop him from advancing and was not able. Beterbiev can take a shot or 2, he has great guard and he has very good footwork - I say Beterbiev comes forward and pushes Bivol back because is more powerful and more relentless and Bivol will be afraid more than Beterbiev to get hit.

Beterbiev does move back. You often see him hop back, circle and reset. Move one way… change direction.. then come in. I’m not saying that Bivol is going to Shawn Porter him. But when Beterbiev eats jabs, he often takes that step back to “figure it out.” But to your point, if Bivol is backing away continuously and wants to “Rashidi Ellis” (vs Romain Villa) Beterbiev, I don’t think that will work. Bivol needs to at least stand his ground. Maybe step just out of range. But but tons of movement-circling. If he moves too much, he will tire.

@@WhatsGoodWoog True that Beterbiev moves back - but if you think - he mostly had fights with punchers so he needed to move back to fight them on skill - avoid bombs, be smart. But with Bivol I am afraid he trained this in his camp - not to reset on faints or jabs but to counter them. Because this is the gameplan - if the fight is outside Bivol wins. So Beterbiev must have trained what he does to avoid being reset. Espechially after we saw how Bivol reset Canel on his forward step. So I think Beterbiev is prepared to deal with the faints and slow pressure of Bivol - because Bivol does a volume pressure which wont hurt much Beterbiev. I think he will look to take them shots and land his own and push Bivol back. Something like Francis N did against Fury where he was throwing everytime Fury was throwing. Francis was eating a puch to land his own punch. The only way I can see Bivol wining this fight is if he can stop Beterbiev from advancing by power. If he trained (and I think he did because he is smart) if he trained his power shots instead of lightning fast. You could see this a little bit in Zinad fight - that was a fight where Bivol was trained for Beterbiev actually so you could see that Bivol hit much harder. So in my opinion - if Bivol didn't added something new - Beterbiev will push him from the first round. To win, Bivol needs to hit much harder so Beterbiev needs to reset - like he always did before when fighting punchers.
