I am rooting for Bivol - he is a slicker overall complete boxer, but Beterbiev is a terrifying opponent who just keeps on coming and cutting the ring off and he is a harder accurate hitter also. He's going to test Bivol more than anyone else I believe. I reckon Bivol's counterpunching, speed and IQ should allow him to exploit Beterbiev's errors, but it will be a blood bath. Scared for Bivol TBH as Beterbiev has knocked out every opponent so far and he is so hard, fit and experienced. Both these guys have my 100% respect. It's just Bivol is my favourite. Beterbievs age and injuries make this a pretty inconvenient time in his career to be fighting a fighter with arguably the best footwork in boxing, great stamina and younger. Big ring (22ft) and I see a masterclass from Bivol. He is simply too slick to get caught by a 40 year old often enough to make it count. I think we will see Bivol hits harder than people realise and he has never failed to get respect from any opponent. Dont be surprised if Bivol steps on the gas in the second half of the fight as he can up the pace right in the very last rounds as he has done many times previously. Can a 40yr old do the same? History suggests otherwise..

Tim was more responding to a question asked by interviewer and was meaning that he won’t sacrifice his current obligations and relationship with PBC to fight in Saudi…..he has openly said that in the future he would live to fight in Saudi. Apparently Al Hamon and Turki have had communication recently so things will change and flux as they do in this game. If Tim does win the IBF then inevitably he will end up in Saudi as unification and undisputed will necessate.

I listened to Tim's interview. I think it was more about his loyalty to his team. He doesn't just sell his soul to the highest bidder. But yeah they were executing women in one of their city squares even just a few years ago, so I am with you on that issue 100%. It comes down to Bivol's ability to use his brain and be self aware to stop himself getting cornered , even Canelo was able to land shots on his arms , but Beterbiev is bigger and better at finding the ko, he got Usyk down with a body shot in the ametuers,but Usyk still won. @colinm610 let me give you a couple of examples. Ray Ford. Ray ford shouldn't have been in ring that night against Ball. He had a super difficult, brutal fight versus kholmatov, 3 months prior. Additionally after the fight, he stated I can't make this weight anymore. I need to move up. He stayed at featherweight for money, lost his belt, his 0 and is now fighting on the undercard of the Jaron Ennis show. Example 2 - Jared Anderson, under no circumstances should Jared Anderson been in the ring with Martin Bakolie. He wasn't ready for a fight like that. He took the fight for money, lost is his 0 and the hype around his name is gone. Two examples of fighters taking fights they shouldn't have taken and the fights damaging their careers in the short term.

Both of them are great fighters, i have no idea how this fight will go, but i think you'll be able to say a lot by watching the first 3 rounds. Is Beterbiev able to get close and asert his dominance or is Bivol able to keep him at distance. The one who managed to push their strategy and adapt better during the fight, wins. The question is have is does Bivol have mental toughness? Beterbiev has been in struggles during fights, Bivol hasn't, so i'm wondering how he's going to handle that during this fight if he has struggles, should be amazing fight, win for the fans. As far as Usyk vs Beterbiev, it's 1-2 they fought 3 times, Beterbiev won 1time, and lost 2 times even tho he managed to knockdown usyk, that only gives a point because amateurs don't count knockdowns. It's nuts considering Beterbiev was 84kg when he was fighting Usyk at 91kg. Would be interesting to see that fight in a pro ring, imagine if Beterbiev defeated Usyk, the one who took down the heavyweight division, that'd be nuts.

in my limited experience, the most complete fighters around are Inoue, Crawford, Canelo, Beterbiev, Bivol and Usyk. To have two fight each other at the right weight is hugely exciting! I'm tending towards Bivol because of Artur's knee surgery. Dimitry has the mobility to stress that knee if it has any weakness. But nothing is going to surprise me. Best of luck to both champions.

HW is a whole different pay scale. The only way I can see Usyk going back to CW is if someone becomes Undisputed and people are saying that that person may be better than Usyk. Then I can see it, Usyk saying okay, let's see then.

But, should Artur win this fight and agree to add the lbs to move up to Cruiser ( which he could easily do ), anyone with a pea for a brain would immediately know and recognize that Artur is the best cruiserweight by a country mile. It's one of those situations where he doesn't even need to obtain a formal belt. A fight beteen the former unified Cruiserwight champ in Usyk and the unified LHW champ moved up to cruiserweight is one of those name brand fights that sells itself and doesn't even need a title to be on the line to sell tickets.

The analogy fight in terms of styles and skills is Hagler vs Leonard. Bivol will need to run and box from the back foot successfully for 12 straight rounds to win on points while avoiding being taken out, just as Leonard did all those years ago.

Ade is living life 😁😎 Hard work paying off. Bivol has to be perfect for 12 rounds to win on points, however he could pull off a knockdown. Beterbiev has to find a KO in 10 rounds to win, he will attack Bivol's body to slow him down, before he goes in for the kill. It's that's simple.

I’m not too sure but I get the feeling Dimitri Bivol will have the right amount, boxing IQ, speed, footwork and just as importantly, the discipline to box for 12 hard rounds. I’ll go for Bivol via unanimous decision.

I am very suspicious of Beterbiev, a 40 year old that fights like that and has been tested positive before. I heard that he pulled out of the fight because of 'the cycle'.....I hope he comes in clean. I've seen him pull out of fights before and have long lay offs.....and sadly PEDs are rife in Russia. I think Bivol will win, he's just better at everything and a lot younger - so if the playing field is level I'll stick with Bivol on points, but I won't be surprised if he drops Beterbiev along the way.

Very obvious why Tim Tzyu sees it as selling his soul. Baring in mind he mentioned how America has always been where it's at, the 'land of the free' as people call it, is the opposite of Saudi. You can get into major trouble in Saudi still for just being yourself. Don't mock the man in that kind of way, sounding a bit more like a salesman instead of an unbiased commentator.

I like the idea of Beterbiev-Usyk at 200lbs. That's the weight, which they fought in the amateurs. I would just point out that they actually fought 3 times rather than twice. Usyk leads 2-1 though it's notable that Usyk got dropped in one of his wins.

I think bivol takes him late on in my opinion bivol may not be the most exciting fighter but for the boxing purists he’s beautiful to watch he’s fundamentals are near perfect I think the size of the ring isn’t getting spoken about enough obviously the bigger the ring favourites bivol and smaller favours Beterbiev will be a great fight either way can’t wait!!
