Arturia Acid V - All Presets No Talking

So far I am impressed with both the sound quality and included features!

IMO, it's better than any emulation out there with its 3 engines, the fact it is "modded out" including various distos and saturations, ability to save both patterns and patches independantly or together, the sequencer that looks like a good old piano roll all while being able to program your patterns the roland 303 way. I still want the hardware, but VST wise, it is as close as it gets. It made me more than able to wait for getting my hands on the hardware.

Personally I find the Roland Cloud massively overpriced irregardless wether you go for the one time payment of each instrument or the subscription. Especially since can’t really hear enough of a difference between the Roland Cloud and Arturia. Plus Arturia has a much more varied range of synths. But I wish they would start making emulations of classic Drum Machines to go with their excellent synth line-up.

I've already bout into the Arturia eco-system so this will be a nice addition. If Roland's subscription wasn't so expensive I'd definitely just go with that. The extra features in this look nice.

Delay on a 303 almost always sounds corny. Fight me. I just get cheesy digital vibes from it. Too many bad presets have poisoned my mind , I think.

Why fight you? haha its a fair opinion. Music is a subjective thing. For me I guess it depends on how you configure that delay, if it's not contributing to the sense of rhythm then yeah, it can sound corny

It's up to us to add our own ORGANIC magic to these amazing synthetic elements. Yes, if the sounds you are making only consist of prebought loops, sounds, and presets, then there IS NO art anymore. (Plus, AI will put these productions out of business in the next year or two) But if you mix these with, say a vocal that you've sung or written for a vocalist, a choir, a violin, cello or guitar, possibly acoustic drums - then you have yourself a synthetic sound infused with something that only YOU can provide, which makes it unique. You must LEARN how to play an instrument or two though, but it's well worth the effort. Especially if you are young and have many years to learn and experiment. Good luck! : )

For me, art is a human expression where individuals can share their emotions and feelings with other people to connect on higher levels of conscious through different mediums regardless of the tools - which I think non of the current technology is able to replicate for now, and not for many years to come IMO. If you think about it, this notion of technology taking over art has been coming and going for decades every time something new comes out. I mean, originally, even the original legendary Roland TB303 was supposed to replace a human bass player!! But then someone choose to use it differently and in a unique way, and the rest is history. @akyko agree with your points as well.
