Notes for myself 3 Oscillators 0:51, 1:11 VCO = Voltage Control Oscillator. But here you get DCO (Digitally Controlled Oscillator) 1:53 First, you get a saw. And square. 2:46 With square, you can change the PW, demo. Control it with MAN (manual), ENV or LFO. 3:27 Sub wave. Adjust SUB drawbar for volume. 4:10 Also a Noise control, demo. LFO 4:46 Can modulate the waves with the LFO. By default, the LFO modulates the pitch. Default values at bottom left, zero them. 5:37 LFO Sync control. Syncs LFO speed with DAW tempo. With SYNC off, rate adjusts in Hz - more precise. 6:09 Delay Time. Delays the LFO's effect. Delay + Rise and Rise settings. Demo of increasing delay time. 7:45 Rise setting. Modulation gradually gets more aggressive. 8:40 PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). LFO setting. With Delay Time up, it still doesn't wait to modulate. Filters 11:01 Filters/cuts the high frequencies. Demo of Freq drawbar. 11:55 Res control, demo. 12:28 High Pass Filter. Cuts the low frequencies, demo. 13:02 Pos or Neg ENV control. 13:46 Want an Env to move the frequency control. Turn ENV drawbar up, now you need to use the envelope. 15:21 Gate setting in VCA. Explaining ADSR. 21:20 Release. It has no effect because VCA is on GATE. 22:55 In Advanced section, increase Release on ENV 2, then switch to ENV 2 under VCA. Now there is Release. 24:20 Negative setting. Inverts the controls. 25:11 ENV amount drawbar demo. 25:29 Using LFO, control VCA with ENV. 26:10 Modulate freq control with LFO. Demo, LFO moves the freq. 26:43 Add a little Delay, Reverb and Chorus FX. 27:31 KBD will modulate the LFO. Highness and lowness of notes played determines how much is cut, lower notes sound darker. 28:54 Can combine ENV, LFO and KBD. 29:21 VCA and ENV. GATE means the attack starts right away, and no release. With VCA you can use ENV just for the filters, and use GATE for when you don't care about ADSR. 30:20 VCA = Voltage Control Amplifier, it decides the volume of the sound. Attack and Decay demos. Sustain demo. 33:07 Release demo. 34:06 For very specific control with the filter and envelope you can go into ENV 2 in the Advanced section. 34:26 You can create great sounds, little demo. 34:51 Remember to use FX to really enhance the sounds. Try turning on Chorus switches, in Advanced add reverb. Add subs, LFO for motion, add Noise? Add delay FX. 36:18 Wrap up.

I've never seen anyone leave lesson notes in any learning videos before and I think it's a brilliant & commendable thing to do for urself and others

@@tom_mac Yeah, there's just too much about these things to memorise and it's not convenient to have to watch the whole video again 😄

Thank you for another great tutorial. I own the Cherry Audio DCO106 pluging and I was able to „map“ your explanation of the Arturia plugin to the Cherry Audio plugin

Thanks !! I will do some cherry audio guides in the near future. I just need to decide what I will be covering.
