I'm really glad I found your channel. Your tutorials are clear, concise and in-depth. Great stuff. Looking forward to tackling the CS-80 and the Moog Modular once I've mastered this one. I learned the basics from my dad who had a Teisco SX-400, but your knowledge is on another level. Thank you for sharing it.

@@OneManAndHisSongs I know I will! You explain everything so clearly and in such a logical order, I can't thank you enough. Do you have any plans to do some tutorials for the Synthi V by any chance?

Ohhhhhhh yeah. I was pretty stoked when I saw that Arturia were adding this to their V Collection list. Mmm... Oxygene...

Great tutorials, really enjoy watching them. Although I regret going down the YT rabbit-hole investigating exponential/linear/through-zero FM; I feel like my head is going to explode... 🤣

Lol, I know exactly what you mean. I'm no electronics expert, and sometimes the physics is beyond me, but I do enjoy learning more about that aspect of audio. Somehow ended up studying differentials, integrals and derivatives a few weeks ago, having asked myself the seemingly innocent question (what is a sine wave?) ! Always something new to make me feel stupid ;)

Wish the audio levels were a bit better. The voice mix was a lower over the the Arturia mix. looking forward to the series.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what went wrong. I have had a review of the mic/pc volume mix during this series so hopefully later episodes will be better.

Thx Anthony. May I ask which Jup 8 sounds best to you. Arturia or Roland Cloud
@OneManAndHisSongs7 ай бұрын
Ugh, awkward question. The answer is Roland, but I use the Arturia one more because of its "advanced" pages.

I bougt the roland software jupiter8 v2 software and it would be great, if you would post videos for this, but i think the arturia software version is similar. Thank you very much for this video.
@OneManAndHisSongsАй бұрын
I have the Roland version too, and have considered making a series about it, but as you say they're pretty similar. I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually :)

@@OneManAndHisSongs I would be very happy about that. I've never met anyone who knows as much about the subject as you do.

is sync basically fm?
@OneManAndHisSongs Жыл бұрын
No - sync doesn't inherently modulate the affected wave at all - one wave (the master) simply instructs the other wave (the slave) to periodically go back to its start position (zero phase) and carry on from there. It's quite a unique process
