Arturia Microfreak FW5.0
This is a massive update, as users can load their own samples and mess with them using one of the four new sample/granular engines.
The memory for the presets has been significantly increased and there are 64 new patches.
New in Firmware V5
● New sampling engine: Manipulate and trigger recorded audio using MicroFreak.
● 3 new granular engines: Scan, Cloud, and Hit modes for Freaky granular exploration.
● New Preset factory
● 512 MicroFreak preset slots instead of 384.

Thanks for the awesome demo. There are some great presets included, looking forward to the 30th May. Soooo happy I didn't Ebay my Micro like I was considering. It's arguably the best mini form synth, portable, tweakable, great for beginners, accessible and most imporantly incredible fun...

Arturia Rox! Continuing updates on this Fab little, very versatile, synth. I did install the update and sample set (after finally figuring out how to get MIDI center downloaded). But actually, to call it a 'sampling engine' isn't really accurate. It's a sample playback/synthesis/manipulation engine, and it's a whole lotta joy! But there is no actual "sampling" that takes place. (Not YET anyway!) Thanks Arturia for the awesomeness!

I play guitar but I totally want to get one of these. Tbh I can’t figure out what’s the difference between this and the stellar model…? it seems like it doesn’t matter and I just can get this update on the old model. I think you’re playing the original? It sounds amazing.

@@DavidePuxeddu oh awesome thanks for answering =) I was trying to decide between microfreak and that Korg monologue contraption. They both seem amazing. I think there's something about two vcos that I don't fully understand but I'm going to probably grab this one cuz it has polyphonic keys. I'm definitely super new to this world - Beep Boop - so I'll be back to check out some more videos.

It depends if they are units that have just arrived at the shop and therefore already equipped with the latest Fw update or if they are units already in stock. If so, just update. It's really simple 🙂
