This was a wonderful experience. Your real skill is generating a sense of collaborative Partnership with the user, (me) and the Machine. Overused and hence a cliché but it felt that we were taking this 'journey' together. Its a great approach.

That's amazing and what a lucky kid - it's a fantastic synth to learn on (while also sounding really great!)

Great vid man. What really comes across is what an organic process analogue synthesis is. I’ve had a lovely, lazy Sunday morning watching your videos in anticipation of buying a 2S next month, peace ✌️

Your videos really help me understand my minibrute, and synthesis, much better. Thank you! I also vote for a crystal higher-pitched patch video for the future.

It was nice to see you add the modulations one by one then make them work together. Now looking forward to another multi-pitch sequence demo with the Drumbrute and one without it where MB2S is also doing drums. Or maybe a more reasonable request would be for one on sample and hold possibilities.
@OscillatorSink5 жыл бұрын
I'll add those to the list - although I've got some other ideas brewing too...

Awesome stuff, keep it up. I made it through about half of your bass tutorial before I got lost in the brute sauce
@OscillatorSink5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You've got to add a bunch of brute sauce when you're making a bass - the recipe demands it.

Arturia really refined the sound on this second generation - just good solid, good sounding oscillators, filters and amps. Makes it a lot easier to build nice sounding patches when the fundamentals are already right.
@MrBasic5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it definitely sounds more refined, and the Brute factor seems smoother indeed.
@OscillatorSink5 жыл бұрын
For sure. I kinda use the first third of the knob like a time machine kinda - turn up to get more nostalgic and vintage sounding. I should do a video where I push it into noisy chaos territory - it's definitely still there, just not until right at the end of the knob!

i love this patch. Very Boards of Canada-ish. Lots of modulation and constant moving .... now, i love my Minibrute 2S, I get monster bass from it, nice leads, but i would appreciate if you would do a patch that is some kind of clear "crystal" or metal arp in the higher register - going for "raindrops" kinda sound and failing recently.
@OscillatorSink4 жыл бұрын
I think I may be revisiting the Minibrute next month actually...

Could you do a video on just the sequencer?
@OscillatorSink5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I will be, but not quite yet as need a little longer to really get "intimate" with tracks 3 and 4. But there's a lot of really exciting stuff to talk about - it might be a series of videos in fact!
