2 Years ago I bought Analog lab and was already very happy for what you get. Great presets. You get to know all the cool synths BUT you can't change them to your liking. This issue kinda makes you wann have the v collection ( good marketing there hands down ) I waited two years to get it 50% off on Pluginboutique when I can afford it but 300 Euros is still a lot. But what you get is a playground of first class synths you can get anywhere else. Pants down their sound is supreme. Don't regret it.

I bought the V7 collection about a year ago and I love it! Just to let you know, with Analog Lab you can go to the original VSTi synth an do deep editing, you are not only limited to basic editing. What I do is look for my sounds in Analog Lab, when I find something close I go to the original VSTi (I don't remember exactly what button you press but I think it is something near the image of the synth) edit and then save. Regarding V8, the vocoder looks great! I am very happy with V7, personally I think the quality of sounds are incredible, but I'm not sure if I need to upgrade because V7 already has so much! Depends on what the upgrade price is I guess. As usual your video was top notch, thanks for producing such great content! Cheers.

I'm watching this now since I have the V-Collection 8, but of course, now 9 is out. And for four new instruments we have to pay half of the new price... I'll wait for the sale of upgrades. Or 10. Or both. Or 11. Anyhow, I'll update my V-Collection one day, but certainly not for that upgrade price, Arturia! ... But I guess Arturia understands this: if you're at V-Collection 5 or such you can upgrade to 9 for the same price and probably get twice the instruments you have now.
@PendelSteven2 жыл бұрын
You may also ask: why don't you go and play with V-Collection 8? Well, I'm not as tired to watch youtube, but tired enough / a bit under the weather / coping with the heat to go to my DAW and start producing. The latter part is also a good reason: it's summer. There are days you're better off watching videos than stressing your computer in the heat. And yes, I also live in a non-aircooled country. That's part of it. Welcome to Europe :)

Although I spent a bundle on Native Instruments and am pleased with the products I wouldn't purchase Arturia. I've been collecting free VST synths for over fifteen years and have a collection of hundreds and also a large number of VST FX. All of the synth emulations in Arturia are available for free. They may not all have the fancy interfaces that the Arturia versions have but many are of excellent quality. I also created my own virtual catalog in PDF format of all the VST's with both listings and a dedicated page for each with a picture of the GUI and a brief description. I use Cakewalk by Bandlab and have custom plugin menus containing the entire collection. On a somewhat related subject: I've definitively determined that while Cakewalk supports VST synths and FX it does not support VST MIDI FX, only DirectX MIDI FX, of which there are very few third party examples. For Cakewalk to be improved to support VST MIDI FX would be a welcome upgrade. I have a number of them with some interesting capabilities but they are unusable.
@davmar99234 жыл бұрын
Almost all VST's allow for integration with MIDI controllers but granted they would take more time to setup than a dedicated link like the Arturia or NI products. I don't have any Arturia controllers. I have a Native Instruments S49 as my primary controller keyboard. I also have a Roli Block and a Roland PAD-80 drum pad. The S49, while tightly integrated with the NI software products, isn't a particularly good general purpose MIDI keyboard controller. It has neither sliders or drum pads.
@BrunodeSouzaLino4 жыл бұрын
@@colaboytje No synth from other company has integration with Arturia controllers either.

Honestly you are missing out big time. The quality of the Arturia stuff is in a totally different league to the freeware equivalents I've tried. Not to mention their presets which are incomparable to the freeware ones. When you look at the price of contemporary synths like Serum for instance with its near decade old unchanged GUI and set of just a few hundred presets it really is a bargain.
@BrunodeSouzaLino4 жыл бұрын
@@ShaunWatson For starters, things like the Mellotron and the Fairlight are samplers. Redtron SE uses samples from the Mellotron just like Arturia does. If you look around, you can find the entire Fairlight library in disk image format for the Yamaha TX16W, which can be opened using Sonic Charge's Cyclone. The free version of Syntronik has some of the synths in this collection as well. You can find alternatives that sound as good, if not better. Keep in mind that Serum is not emulating any piece of hardware, it being a wavetable synth...Which has a competitor in the form of Matt Tytel's Vital and Graphite, which were released last month. I don't know how good the B3 is, but there are alternatives that sound good enough. The magic of it all is that no one will notice if you're using Arturia's DX7 or Dexed in a full mix.
