Finally, I see someone else who does not get the hype around White Dress by LDR. It's possibly one of her worst songs, she tries way too hard to be 'artsy' with the lyrics, and the singing on the chorus is unbearable at times. It's such an off-putting album opener that the whole album suffers from its inclusion.

It's so sad how far Skillet's music has fallen... they had a great trio of albums back in the day with Collide, Comatose, and then Awake, those three albums back to back were absolutely incredible, but their newer stuff has been fairly uninspired ever since Ben left.

Not everything will transcend time like Nevermind or American Idiot. Even Green Day’s last album wasn’t that bad to me. It’s not my favorite but at least they don’t cling to the past. I might be a little biased though

As a big Imagine Dragons fan, yeah Cutthroat deserved it. Even though the 'Performance Video' version was a LOT better (I saw in the chat that you used that version due to copyright), the bassline is sick, Dan doesn't sound nearly as unbearable and the kazoo was kind of weird but kind of worked. If Ragged Old Flag by Johnny Cash and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd came out in 2021 he would have probably put it on this list. All hat and no cattle artists have invaded country music since the 1970s and it wasn't the only genre affected. Posers have affected all popular genres. You know a poser when they seem to check all the boxes but seem to be copying rather than innovating.

This year's ID album was wild. It gave us one of the best songs or the year in Wrecked ( Also shout out to Dull Knives) . But jeez what the fuck was Cutthroat. Imo the song singlehandedly dragged their score on the album down. It was pretty good otherwise.
