This event fired right before he was about to declare the war... a lucky call :)
@qernanded81618 жыл бұрын
I like the event but I think that the Teutonic Order should just have an AI preference to sell Brandenburg Neumark with the sell province diplomatic action to make things more fluid like what Serbia did with Bosnia.
@velikiradojica8 жыл бұрын
Crazy, amirite?
@aemonbane13988 жыл бұрын
That AI preference wouldn't work great as Brandenburg and the Tuetons are never on friendly terms that I've ever seen, at the start of the game when this fires, thus the reason for the event to set a different price then what a typical sell province action would be either because it would be too low, or outrageously high, it is also supposed to be a 1 time offer, the sell province action isn't a 1 time chance.
@aemonbane13988 жыл бұрын
As of "The Rights of Man" patch the Teutons will attempt to sell the province to Brandenburg 1 time the first time they have reason to take a loan.

Clergy demands land if you have at least 10 provinces, while Nobility demands at at least 5.
@reaperzwei8458 жыл бұрын
The nobility is actually demanding territory cause they can do so as long as you have 5 or more provinces. you have to have 10 or more provinces for the clergy to actually demand territory.
@blshouse8 жыл бұрын
Ah, that's why Neumark is no longer a core at the start of the game.

It costs money to embrace the institutions. It even says so in the tool-tip indirectly (it list the cost pr province if they dont have Renascence)

I always find that abusing the estates is generally a bad thing when you're a small country like you are now. The relative power of each province that you give to the estates is much higher for small nations thus the consequences will more likely bite you in the future. The random events that effect the estates also have a larger impact especially if you have to give away a province.

The new "spreading tech level" mechanics look fun and more historically accurate. I just wish they fixed all that Colonial Regions and Tordesillas Treaty garbage to a more interesting mechanic than trying to railroad current country borders... Also, poor Poland - getting their ass kicked for a province they can't conquer anymore...

8:15 Nobility is upset, because you are playing monarchy state. When you are playing Theocracy - clergy expects to have more that others and with merchant republic - burgers.
@Golladan8 жыл бұрын
Not quite in this case. Nobility is upset because their land requirement kicks in at 5 provinces while for the Clergy it kicks in at 10 provinces. I personally don't think the land requirement should show up until you have enough provinces for it to kick in.
@shad0wmega8 жыл бұрын
Not quite (2). Burgers do demand territory if nation has at least 5 provinces too. Yet Arumba has no issues with them. Well the reason is government type. For monarchies its the Nobility estate that is dominant and demands most attention.
@Golladan8 жыл бұрын
Paul Mega Nobility always demands 10%, +5% for being Feudal Monarchy (not just any monarchy), +30% for being Noble Republic. Clergy always demands 10%, -5% for being Hindu, -10% for being Papal States, +5% for being Catholic (and not Papal States), +5% for being a Theocracy (and not Papal Sates). Burghers always demands 0%, +20% for being a Republic. However this demand doesn't kick in until the nation has 5 provinces for the Nobility, 10 provinces for the Clergy, and 5 provinces for the Burghers. The reason the Nobility is upset and the Clergy isn't, even though they both demand 15%, is not because he is playing a "monarchy state" as you said. It's because he's already at the province threshold for the Nobility but not yet for the Clergy.

You're a monarchy that's why the nobles demanded territory. I believe if you were a theocracy your clergy estate would have demanded the territory.

at his size the gold cost isnt going to be that big, and he can embrace it as soon as the Branderburg gets it,the faster he gets it the faster he can get techs without a penalty.
@renes11818 жыл бұрын
the tech penalty is really small actually, sinking hundreds of points into development is just a waste of points i just cant see any good reason to do any development other than being capped on points and having nothing else to spend them on to get a 20 dev province its much easier to get it from conquest no offense ... but i really dislike this series so far, because no wars at the start is always weak play especially if your small, i just dont like his cautious playstyle, its boring
